The museum showcased some of the living environment of the people living in Scarborough a few decades ago. The staff was super nice and she provided a free guided tour. However, the museums only consisted of a few houses and exhibitions. It's not worth coming from a far distance specifically for this, unless you happen to be passing by or have a strong interest in the topic.
Money eternal to all fallen for Canada and our country’s allies.

When you have an abundance of sculptures, why not put them on public display? Aesthetically pleasing but I wouldn't be rushing out to this artwork deliberately.

Very beautiful ring.
A nice set of locks to watch boats going up and down the Rideau.

Plenty of places to picnic in near by park. You can walk down the locks to see the damn. You can also walk to the western dam.

It's nice to stroll but not very big.
Beautiful, peaceful, artful, with a touch of bliss. Perfect visit after a good time at the aquarium and a nice lunch.
在路口,可以观看一下,但不能进,建筑的侧面和正面都很有历史感!
Beautiful scenic views at the historical Manotick Dam
Its infront of a a beautiful heritage building . Its got a water feature . Its got some flowers but not as much as the rose garden . Its next to a rock memorial monument dedicated to President Harding, i like the eagles on the monument . There are public washrooms here at the Pavillion .

One of the most inspiring Canadian. Terry Fox statue is right opposite to parliament hill. It’s right next to the side walk. No waiting in queues.

Always good to stop and pay respects here when I’m in town. Stay off the moment and tomb and remember what was given for your freedoms here and elsewhere.
Thank you for your sacrifice and Lest we forget.
Beautiful decorations!

More of a historical marker as most of the Rock Garden doesn’t exist anymore or is covered up. The Rock Garden was one of the first parts of the garden and sadly got neglected and overgrown once the head gardener passed away.

In my view, Terry Fox is one of the greatest Canadians that has ever lived. It is therefore appropriate that this sculpture is located across from Parliament, along Wellington Street. A beautiful memorial for one of our country's most famous figures.
Awesome place for a walk, and picnic.

One of the most inspiring Canadians. Terry Fox's story brings a lot of motivation of what people are capable of in spite of all the odds.
The write up next to the statue is well written. It's bang opposite the Parliament. Definitely to be visited if you are around the area - which most of the Ottawa tourists will be.
A couple of parking lots nearby. Although the street on which the statue is, was pedestrian only when we visited.

Terrance Stanley Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated due to cancer, he embarked on an east to west cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Although the spread of his cancer eventually forced him to end his quest after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres and ultimately cost him his life, his efforts resulted in a lasting, worldwide legacy. The annual Terry Fox Run, first held in 1981, has grown to involve millions of participants in over 60 countries and is now the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research; over C$800 million has been raised in his name as of April 2020.

A great monument located opposite the Parliament building and next to the Prime Minister’s office to showcase the zeal and drive of the Canadian spirit.
Great monument in the Core of Ottawa that pays tribute to countless brave and courageous soldiers who have risked and lost their lives to protect our Country throughout the years. It’s a very peaceful space with soldiers on guard for most of the day with a changing of the guards ritual every hour on the hour which is pretty neat. 🇨🇦🙏🏼🇨🇦
Tomb of unknown soldier lays in front of the national war memorial. It elegantly adds a sens of duty and awareness for all when looking at the war memorial as every single war is the sacrifice of many and there are always those remained unknown for their sacrifice.

Picture here was captured during the guard change on the hour. To view the guard change, it’s best to arrive 5 minute before the hour. although it is a simply display, it is a good reminder that we still have an army and without their guard, we cannot enjoy the peace we have.
Very beautiful house, and the garden is also beautiful.
Really nice garden in Stanley Park, very nice flower collections around a very vintage looking building.
A beautiful building!
There are lots of Beautiful old building around this area but this stands out!

A great monument and tribute to a great Canadian who showed strength and perseverance until the end! 👍😎
Super place to expend family time.
When Terry Fox was 18 he had his right leg amputated to prevent the spread of bone cancer in his body. Fitted with a simple prosthetic leg Fox felt that there could be more done to raise awareness and research towards fighting cancer. So Fox became an activist and became a Canadian icon for his heroic attemp to run across Canada on one leg. On April 12 1980 Fox dipped his artifical leg in the Atlantic ocean by St John's NF to start his famous journey called the Marathon of Hope.
At first Fox's journey had little coverage by the media, but as he ran through community's people started to line up on the streets to cheer him on, donate money and scream "you can do it" as he tried to run a 26 mile marathon every day across the country. Evenutally Fox's Marthon of Hope became a national story and he spoke infront of massive crowds to promote the fight against cancer.

Fox made many famous statements along his journey like... I believe in miracles, I have to; and I want to try the impossible to show it can be done.

Fox suffered greatly during the run and yet still kept running. Unfortunately, Fox's cancer, fatigue, difficult weather and the relentless pain from run made Fox to stop his run near Thunderbay ON after 143 days of daily marathon runs on Sept 1 1980. Fox went to the hospital and later died on June 28, 1981.

Fox's legacy continues today with annual marthons fundraiser activities, across Canada and around the world, to raise money for cancer awareness and research

If you like my reviews, photos or videos give them a thumbs up, or better still help contribute towards a cure against cancer.
A nice place to enjoy the good weather and take some nice pictures, if it's not really crowded.
You can t visit but the building is gorgeous and will remind you of the old days when montreal was that all powerful economic center
Good variety, I seldom go there.

You can see stuff that you cannot find in
some other places.

I would go there every time in the future.

You should look at what they offer and
choose what is best for you!

Very nice place and I will go there again
in the future, I like that is not far from
where I live and it's not very busy in the
week-ends.

I'm sure you'll find it pleasant easy
accessible and comforting.
Vraiment un très bel edifice ....belle architecture.....

An emotional moment for myself to stand before this statue that depicts a true Canadian icon and hero. I can remember back in 1980 as a young kid watching Tv coverage of his journey across Canada on his “marathon of hope”. As a kid it was insignificant, but now as an adult it is truly an overwhelming honour to know that I watched this man accomplish his dream (not to finish the run, but raise money/awareness for cancer) just before his death.
Nice place to visit in Ottawa. Beautiful status. Very dignified and respectful. A place where we should remember the dark past.
Very old history here. The Molson bank was built way back in the 1860's. The bank was on St. Jacques street but became too small and they wanted to expand so in 1863 they bought the entire lot beside them and began building for two years 1864-1866. In 1925 the bank of Montreal bought the Molson bank building and its 125 branches only to later shut their doors as a bank in 1981 and used it as a training centre afterwards
Site of many war memorials and ceremonies. Walking diatance from Parliament Hill.
