Writers Bar

The classier and more refined version of the Long bar, Writers bar could be favorite drinking spot in town. Everything is gorgeous.

Named in honor of the literary luminaries who have graced the halls of the historic hotel, the bar exudes old-world charm and sophistication, providing a serene sanctuary for guests to enjoy a quiet drink or intimate conversation.

Love this bar. Quiet, sophisticated and drinks are well-crafted. Very engaging and friendly bar staff. Bartender Anthony making drinks is like a performance - fast and smooth. Nicholas was also very friendly and attentive.

Went on a Friday night. There werent any crowd at Writer's Bar. Drinks were good and somehow on the range with other bars in Sg. Definitely highly recommended.

Much of the crowd were western people but definitely not those western thrash people you meet in low class pubs or in Thailand and Bali.

This was a very special find. The atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious, the staff welcoming and very well informed. And the drinks were exceptional! Anthony and the team made our two visits (in the one day - we couldn't stay away) quite wonderful.

The ambiance is nice. Music is soft, lighting is perfect. Seats are limited so its not too noisy. Seat reservation is good for 2 hrs but u probably can request to extend if there’s not many reservations. The snacks were good, but our drinks tasted like antibiotics.

We went on new year eve so was showed on new year cocktail menu. Nothing special and maybe a bit disappointed as well. We noticed the bartender actually made other cocktail as well. After checking only they confirmed we can order the usual menu as well. We ordered their signature million dollar. Quite like it. The environment is cozy as not too crowded. They also served tasting cocktail before we order anything. That was quite a nice gesture.
