This bowling alley is a hidden gem! The guy that runs it is so nice and accommodating to little kids and encourages family fun!

Brought my sister here to show her around Chicago and had a blast. Very comfortable vibe and the guy working was super accommodating and helpful. Will be back soon!

Wait was an hour on a Friday night, which, for me, is reasonable.

Place has a nice, old-school aesthetic with a young crowd.

Only couple down sides was that the old-school scorer machines had some worn buttons which were difficult to distinguish. And the lane we played at would sometimes not bring down the pins, always on the same player. For a few times we couldn't figure out how to reset the pins without giving up a round for that player.

Otherwise, I throughly enjoyed my time here and would have wanted to stay longer. I will gladly come again!

Fireside Bowl is more than just a bowling alley. It’s a legendary venue for punk rock in Chicago. I’ve been going there since the 90s, when they started hosting shows by local and touring bands. The place has a gritty and authentic vibe, with graffiti on the walls, stickers on the lanes, and cheap beer at the bar. The sound system is loud and raw, just like the music. The crowd is always energetic and passionate, moshing and singing along to every song. The staff is friendly and supportive of the scene, letting anyone book a show or play there.

It’s truly iconic.
