I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silk Road Restaurant in Walnut Creek, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish!

The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming and elegant, with a perfect blend of modern décor and traditional elements that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

The menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The Shish Kebabs were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a delightful chargrilled taste. The Falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with a tangy tahini sauce that perfectly complemented it. And the Baklava for dessert? Simply divine—sweet, flaky, and utterly satisfying.

What truly sets Silk Road apart, though, is the impeccable service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of your dining experience is top-notch. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are more than happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences.

The extensive wine list and specialty cocktails also deserve a mention. We enjoyed a beautifully balanced wine that perfectly complemented our meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.

Absolutely delicious!!!!! Complimentary bread and dipping, huge portions, reasonable prices. Bread is fresh out of the oven, all food is prepared to order, nothing is pre-made. Masterfully prepared, homemade quality food. Come hungry! Definitely will be back again and again.

Met a friend here to try out this new place. Boy I enjoyed it!! I thought there might not be many vegetarian options but boy was I wrong. Our server pointed several. So we ordered a combo platter with hummus, babbaganush, tabouret, and dolmas. Very tasty. But the star was the vegetarian sandwich. It had artichoke hearts, eggplant and more..but the balsamic sauce (that is mixed with mayo sauce was very tasty). I will be back just for this sandwich again. Sauce terrific!! Service was very attentive and helpful. Def recommend coming by.

The service was good. The food was good BUT they used processed meat. Let me explain. I got a gyros plate. I love lambs. The traditional and best way is to cook slices of meat on a skewer. Yes, slices, not compacted ground meat. It is unfortunate because it changes the taste.
The bread was really good as well as the sauces.
Is it really cheaper to get processed meat vs slices of meat? I wonder.

Overall good experience, food was good, service was also. So yes overall its a nice place. They don't have a dessert menu though you will only get Bakalawa for dessert. Limited sitting spaces, I had a Chicken kebab which is really good little dry but tasted awesome.
