The food was delicious as always! Our server was a friendly, kind soul who was very attentive, even a busy Saturday night!

Shawarma box. Didn't care for the rubbery pickles. Too much sauce. Meet was good tender. Fries were great could not finish them all. Was very loud hard to hear when they called your order a speaker system or text paging might be good
Some of the best food around, but have frequently had an item missing. Was told it would be credited to me for a future order since I live so far away I couldn't drive back to get it. Called another order in and let them know that I was cashing in the credit for the missed garlic spread and told "OK" on the phone, and it was missing in the order again. When I went back in to ask about it, they said it had been too long and that they would give me a side of garlic spread but not the full portion with pita that I had paid for and was supposed to be credited. This has happened multiple times. Check your bag before you leave.

We’ve been eating at Beirut on and off over the years. This was our first visit post Covid and they surpassed their our expectations The food absolutely delicious and the server was very attentive, came by many times to check in on us.
We were a group of 5 and every dish was better than the other.
Beirut has stepped up their game on all counts.
They have Valet which is great and I love that they take reservations

Called in to do a carry no one answer the it for at 20 mins. I still drove to restaurant line was out the.door .if they would answer the and take a order like they normally do it wouldn't be so crowded. I did stay to order. Because the parking lot had barrier cades in parking lot so u couldn't drive thru. It was a concert at Aretha Franklin Park. To the so called lot was charging $20.00 to park. I won't be coming back here it was a mess . Management make sure your employees answer the phone .should at least answer the phone for take out 630 pm in the evening on a Saturday night. Like u do the other nights
The food here is delicious. They were very busy, but the service was still good... just slow. Our food took a long time to come, so be prepared to enjoy a leisurely meal. It is absolutely worth the wait. There is seating inside and outside with two semi covered outdoor areas. There is not a lot of parking but adequate for the space. The desserts look amazing but we were too full, hopefully next time.

I'll keep it short. Prices have doubled the last couple years, portions seem smaller, the new location has the worst parking you can imagine (if you try to park where it looks like you should, you'll get hounded to pay), and one of the lamest moves is they now charge 3% service fee for using a credit card. Give people a break, folks. Y'all are doing great financially, no need to nickel and dime people, especially after jacking prices so hard and making portions smaller. I love Bucharest but am not into the changes I mentioned above. We definitely come a lot less now because of it.

This is by far the best restaurant I ever ate at. We ordered the Tawle (it was 2 of us and we had leftovers for a few days). Anything you order will be absolutely amazing, from the hummus to the dates to the lamb shoulder (which is worth the extra money because I dream about the meat).

The greek food is very good, with a simple menu, meaning you don’t have a whole lot of items to choose. This location has a restaurant/bar with music and sports broadcasting. On Saturday it be extremely bustling, the rest of the week depends on what’s happening around town.
Only reason I gave four stars for service, is because you can wait a nice minute for your order, but it’s understandable, based on the traffic.
Ordered a chicken shawarma box. Started eating and halfway through chicken shawarma found a large chicken bone inside my chicken almost choked over this large bone. I will not be back . Please be careful of bones in your chicken.

Just left from there 8/13/23. My daughter went on website at and ordered at 3:40pm. Said it would be ready at 4:05pm. Waited until 4:45 or 4:50 pm. While standing and not knowing where to go, young lady watching her didn’t bother to tell her where to go!!! Same girl was observed brushing her hair around the food and putting on lotion. I observed while standing there, girls packing the food. Had no gloves on while placing food in bags. Get in the car while daughter is on the phone complaining. Checking the food and the fries are super hot and chicken shawarmas was cold!!!! Understanding that the sauce is not safe to eat while COLD!!! I will be contacting the Headquarters about this!! Outrageous experience!!! Young people should be trained better people service skills and etiquette!!!
One of the best biryanis in the Boston area!! Get the goat biryani.

This restaurant was once great, but now, unfortunately, it's not up to par. The food quality and taste have taken a significant hit. Even our favorite dish left all three of us disappointed. And let's not forget, it's not budget-friendly either. The restrooms need serious improvement. On the bright side, the waiters are fantastic!

We grabbed a bite to eat here after we doing a group activity downtown. We wanted something quick and tasty in this fit the bill. Most everyone enjoyed their food. I had a lamb shawarma that was a little bit salty and very garlicky. So if you love garlic, this is it. The fries were delicious. The restaurant is fast casual dining. You get a ticket and then they bring your order to your table. The service was quick, there were about eight of us and we all got our food pretty quickly. The price was good for what was ordered.
Ordered 2 chicken shawarmas added cheese no pickled my food was made incorrectly called to see if I could get a credit they wanted me to come back after I drive out my way to even purchase in the first place food was overall ok chicken had a charred burnt taste

Waited two weeks for a reservation, and it was totally worth it. We had the Tawle menu with the Branzino for the main dish and everything was delicious.

It’s definitely a lot of food, so go hungry and with a group.

The staff and atmosphere also makes this place very special. It’s so comforting and everyone makes you feel like part of the family vs just a quick dining customer.

Highly recommend!

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday, with the appetizer platter, lavash bread, falafel, chicken sheesh Kabab, and lamb sampler platter. Food was fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly prepared. Enjoyed everything especially the appetizer platter and bread. We also got the yogurt drinks were were refreshing. Definitely recommend and will be coming back when in the area!

Beautiful food. Cozy atmosphere. The food is cooked over an open fire and it gives such a great flavor. There wasn’t something I ate that I didn’t like. The serve team were responsive and available, they kept our naan plate full. You definitely do not leave hungry. Depending on what you get, 3-4 dishes per person should be enough.
Horrible quality of food. Most Dishes are filled with tomato paste that non- southeast Asians love! Any Indian would realize the absolute lack of effort put forth in their cooking. Anybody could make a better chicken tikka masala

A super cute and traditional Lebanese restaurant in town. DC is well known for its diverse traditional cuisines, and this place bring everything on the table to represent their culture. There were so many foods on the table, so don’t eat too much bread. Try every pieces by itself first then try everything together in one bite. All the dishes are healthy. However, it is pricy so if you don’t want the Lebanese experience it would be less expensive.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. Get the Arayes, Beirut mixed grill and hummus and you will not be disappointed. We had the sheesha as well which was really nice. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stop by again.
Phenomenal service. Outstanding cuisine. Dog friendly outdoor seating. They catered to our pooch with homemade chicken and carrot appetizer. Would definetly drive past the harbor to come here again. Turkish coffee too!
I've eaten at three total locations now, this one off Woodward being my third. By far the oiliest Lamb Shawarma I've ever had. I couldn't even finish the meal (I had curly fries also). I doubt I'll be back after yes, this once experience. Flavorless oily mess. I do appreciate the 10 or so napkins you all provided, they were definitely needed to make sure I didn't mess anything up at my job.

The ones the city are much better overall. I wouldn't dare give this location anymore of my money.
Wonderful food here. And a nice calm section of Denver. The chicken gyro was fantastic, as was the chicken gyro entree as well.
The staff is very friendly, and very attentive. Very much appreciated their input on desserts and entrees.
Desserts were fantastic as well, they make them in half. Particularly enjoyed the brownie, chocolate cake, and baklava.

Coming to the Dupont station looking for a more excellent restaurant, we spotted Ala immediately, which has the Michelin guide. And it is worth it to enjoy its Mediterranean food from the Turkish founders and chief. Try it next time yourself!

5 of us were visiting DC and looking for a casual place for 5 grown-ups with good food and drinks. Ala had a nice outdoor space, drinks were great, the service was amazing, and the food would make us return to DC again. Kim's attentive + knowledge of the menu was top.

We did their chef tasting menu, and it was worth it. You got 10 dishes and 4 drinks. We asked extra plates for 8 out of those 10 dishes because they were so good.

If I live in the area, I would regularly go there to get a couple of cocktails, their apps (should try their hummus, baba ghanoush, roasted beets) and their grilled octopus.

My food came super quick, and had steam coming out of the box. I got the lamb kabobs, and this had to be one of the best meals I ever tried. The lamb was seasoned perfectly and tasted freshly grilled. The rice was so flavorful and the tzatziki sauce was creamy and fresh. I can't wait to order from here again.

Cozy yet warm and welcoming restaurant, small very clean dining area. Great staff with great service.

We ordered 2 phily steak combos, a mixed kebab & lamb kebab. Food tasted absolutely delicious and authentic.. everything thing tasted great and delicious, meats were cooked the right way they should, salads were amazing and rice was great... every bite was full of flavour.

Dish prices are very reasonable compared to portions served and quality of food.

We had a wonderful time and experience and we highly recommend this restaurant especially for those seeking authentic high quality food.

Normally I come here at least once a week and don’t have any problems. Today I tried calling in to order and the phone system is down so I come in and place my order. Two chicken shawarma boxes and I’m pretty sure that I got the chicken sticks (the smaller version) in my boxes. Was on my lunch break so I didn’t have time to go back, coworker said “If this is the new size of the sandwich it’s all bad from here”. I hope this was a simple one time mistake.

Welcome to another food review from Charlie - Jerusulums is a great spot for a late-night meal, and I recently had the pleasure of ordering their Hummus and Gyro Plate. Everything was pretty good, and I was impressed by the flavors. The hummus had a creamy texture and was packed with delicious Middle Eastern spices. The gyro plate was equally delightful, with tender and well-seasoned meat. The combination of flavors was satisfying, making it a solid choice for a late-night craving.

Maydan in Washington D.C. is a culinary gem that transports you to the vibrant flavors of the Arab world. The menu, inspired by Arabic cuisine, offers an array of mezze-style appetizers that are simply divine. The star of the show is undoubtedly the lamb shoulder, a dish that left me speechless. The tender and succulent meat, infused with aromatic spices, was a true delight for the senses. Each bite was a journey of flavors, taking me on a culinary adventure. The ambiance of Maydan is equally enchanting, with its warm and inviting atmosphere that immerses you in an industrial -loud & incredible music- Middle Eastern oasis. The attentive staff further enhances the experience, providing excellent service with their knowledge and passion. Maydan is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an exceptional Arabic dining experience in the heart of D.C.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Staff was very accommodating. A great place to go to eat and relax after a day in DC.
Wandering around trying to find somewhere for dinner on a Saturday night without a booking and came across this place. Really friendly staff, good service, and good food. Not a huge menu but something for everyone
Go to one of the Detroit locations instead. Ordered food at 12:00 and asked to pick it up at 6:30 for a party we had at 7:00. Didn’t end up receiving our order until 7:15. No point in placing an online order 6 hours ahead of time if you aren’t going to get it on time. Do yourself a favor and just drive to Detroit and get some, it’s faster.

I’ve been here for brunch when it was Ankara and I definitely prefer that brunch than what ala offers currently. It offered bottomless food Meze style with true bottomless drinks - mimosas, bloody Mary’s, beers, wines, cocktails etc. It was truly at its best!

Now they’ve changed the menu and call it bottomless drinks now because you can pick either mimosas or bloody Mary’s only and then select from a 3 course choice. The food is still really good but priced up to hell.

Be careful when doing anything bottomless because, for whatever reason, their system is somehow unable to undo a bottomless order once they put it in their computer system. I don’t buy that for even a moment. Just a way to cheat people out of their money. Our waiter was also not friendly at all and when we got the bill, we asked if they tacked on a service charge (because sadly that’s something restaurants do in DC now and we didn’t want to pay more than what we owed) and he got so flippant about it. And he still charged our friend for her bottomless drinks when she had ONE coffee and had to leave due to a medical reason.

The stars are purely for the food, but the service ain’t and menu set up ain’t it.

I came to visit this area and I was extremely thrilled to visit ala and try their food. I was not blown away at all. The food was average and over priced for the taste. It was missing the wow factor. The drinks were below average. We unfortunately didn’t like two of the drinks that we tried. When it came to service, that was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive.
Great food, quick service, clean, and tasty drinks 👌🏾 The Chiefs Platter is a great dish to try everything, and the fries are excellent. Definitely somewhere I keep coming back to!

The place is gorgeous, the food outstanding. I used to treat my colleagues to this restaurant every year when I was in DC for a conference across the street.
So I was excited to bring my husband here on our trip. It did not disappoint!! As good as I remember.
I cook Lebanese food well, so this was a real treat.
I think it's the best Lebanese restaurant I've eaten at in the US (maybe tried some in 6 citi6or so, including Detroit which is known to have a super large Lebanese community).
My salute to the chef & owner for staying consistently excellent & authentic.

The lamb had no flavor with lots of inedible parts. The bucharest shawarma was better but the grease is too much. Overall this was a disappointment considering the reputation of the establishment. This was my first time here and I’m not sure if I’ll visit again.

Update: Don’t even bother with a refund because they won’t even issue one.

First time eating at that place, it's a fast food kind of place but for shawarmas. A whole bunch of teenagers working there who wrap your food quickly but carelessly, lamb shawarma was bland and tasteless. They would wrap everything even if you want to sit there and eat. Hand written signs every where to pay for your sides first ??? 🥙
(Also the parking lot in the front was broken and Bathroom were very dirty and smelly.)

Best place to pregame before hitting a show or game. While not traditional this place hits all the right spots. Fresh, fast, inexpensive. Great pricing on all drinks and portions that I didn't think would be profitable. A large shawarma salad can feed two easily as well as the fries. Cheapish parking as well. I've been eating here since the days of the Park Bar and cannot wait to see where they build next.

Amazing experience! The Tawle course is definitely the way to go. We got it with lamb which was definitely worth it. A whole lamb shoulder and some ribs cooked perfectly soft inside and extra crispy outside. They bring out a little bit of everything. Waitress/waiters are excellent! Great service great food! Will definitely be back!
We got there before it opened but didn't mind waiting.
The food wasn't as good as the last time I was there. It was kind of disappointing because it was the first time I brought my husband and I told him how good it was. The meat was dry and didn't taste like they just made it. Although the rest of the combination player was good. He loved the dessert.
We both love middle eastern food. I think everyone should try it once!

The best French Fries that I have ever eaten. And I have traveled over 15 countries. Crispy outside, perfectly seasoned, creamy, delicious inside. The house salad it perfecto. Very fresh veggies, and the fetta cheese on top is so good and not dry like most fetta but a creamy goodness that will have you coming back for more. That is a good fill-up for me, but if you go on, their other items are tops. And yummy beer, my buddy got a Carlsberg, and I put down a Belgium wheat called Hoegaarden absolutely delicious. I seriously recommend this place. The only thing negative is that they close at seven. I come to GRAND Rapids just to have the fries.
We enjoyed our dinner

We went there for my mothers birthday, it was our first time here, compared to other restaurants in Paterson it’s not a family friendly restaurant. We didn’t have great experience with the service in there. The food was okay but not that great. We order a lava cake for my mom for her HBD I was rock solid with chocolate syrup on top. They didn’t even bother to heat it up. The server took for ever to come to us. The food took forever to come out. They also kept bringing half of the appetizers, like half of the table can eat while the others watch. The food presentation wasn’t so good. The French fries were so oily and the kebabs were not great. For the price you pay the quantity/quality of the food doesn’t match. We also went 6:00pm the restaurant wasn’t so busy to have this poor of service.

Petra Cafe is a delightful Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant that serves up some of the best Greek and Mediterranean food in town. On my recent visit, I choose my usual Falafel Sandwich/Wrap Combo, which comes with fries, a drink, and a choice of sauce. I'm a vegetarian, so my options are limited!

The first thing that caught my attention was the aroma of freshly cooked falafels as they were being prepared. Once I got my hands on the sandwich, I was impressed by the generous portion size and the vibrant colors of the ingredients. The falafels were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning.

And let's talk about the fries! When seasoned properly, they are delicious and perfectly complement the falafel wrap. I was slightly disappointed on some of my visits when the fries were not seasoned, but it's a minor complaint in an otherwise fantastic dining experience.

But wait, there's more! Petra Cafe's hummus is a must-try, and the pita bread is so fresh and soft that it practically melts in your mouth. The combination of flavors and textures in each bite is simply divine.

Overall, Petra Cafe is a diverse and welcoming spot on Mass Ave that never disappoints. This is the place to go if you're looking for a flavorful, satisfying meal with plenty of options.

I finally made it here. It was well worth the wait. Quaint ambiance. Great seating especially for groups or even a date night. The service is very attentive and the food is really, really good. A perfect place for a date night. For the meat folks, get the short ribs and the lamb. You won't be disappointed. The cauliflower was recommended and looked good, but we did not order. I'll definitely be back to Ala to try more things as the menu changes.

Very nice Lebanese Restaurant. Lots of Halal options and plenty of Lebanese wines/drinks. I had the Phoenician and my companions both had Shawarma sandwiches. Food and drink quality was 10/10 and service was quick and personal. Will come here again.
The food is always full of flavor and very fresh! Highly recommended.
Hands down the best Indian food I've had in ages. Most Indian restaurants in Boston leave me disappointed because they are overpriced and all the same. I love that they have Thalis (Veg and Non Veg) for dinner. Flavorful, varied and warm friendly staff. We will be back.

One of the best places in town to grab a chicken shawarma. Marinated in their blend and cooked to perfection, this is the go to for Mediterranean on the go.

Servers are typically fast and friendly however, there is one that deserves special mention here. Her name is Kayla. She greets you at the register with a big, friendly smile, is patient with you and very personable. She gets 6 stars for her customer service skills.

They have a few locations but this one on E. Jefferson and the one on Woodward Ave in Royal Oak are the best.

Also the desserts are homemade and delicious. Treat yourself and stop in sometime
The food is delicious, and the staff is super courteous and friendly! The restaurant isn't huge, but the interior is very nice and cozy (there are pillows galore!)

All the chefs seem very dedicated to their craft, and it shows!
I highly recommend dining in and getting the thali (such good value!)

You also cannot go wrong with any of their Lassi!

I just had their Chicken Kebab Platter. Every grain of rice was screaming flavours! It's so good!!! The chicken pieces were cooked properly but still soft and juicy, rice was fluffy and flavourful, and they also provided some fresh salad and two different types of sauces on the side. The portion size was also pretty good. No complaints about the food at all.
Only a tiny observation that I had. Although I didn't eat there, I found the place a bit small. But then, I saw people sitting there enjoying their meals as well. So, I guess it depends on the type of ambience you prefer. Nonetheless, the taste is gonna blow up your mind (mine sure did) anyway, so I guess I'll be returning pretty soon.

First time for us. I was impressed with the employees. They were very busy and were a well oiled machine! Every employee with spoke with was friendly! The food was awesome! We were told the chicken Shawarma was good. It was great! We also had lamb hummus and it was terrific! Glad we stopped!

This is such a lovely place. Great ambiance, good service, and tasty fresh food. Can't ask for more.
Great first impression of this wonderful find. Delicious appetizers, great portions. We had the 4-appetizer platter. The hummus, babaghanous, ezme and cacik were spot on! I had the St.Peter’s fish with spinach, my wife had the chicken Shish kebab, and our friends had a chicken salad and the shrimp/fish combo dish. An amazing culinary experience. Our compliments to the chef! We will be back! Crowded for a Sunday evening, but our server Aziz made us feel well attended to.
If I can give 0 starts to this place, I would in a heart beat! This was my whole salad that I received today. I actually ordered two of the same salads and they both look exactly the same. There was BARELY ANYTHING except chicken. The lettuce was BAD!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL!!
Very good fast Shawarma place
The food and service quality has been going downhill while prices are going up but still one of my favorite place in the area.
Sometimes it’s worth driving to downtown for a shawarma
They have multiple locations in the area close to the Ford stadium so a quick descent eat is never far

I went to this place for the first time for brunch couple days ago. It was my first time trying Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and it was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the fries so much and I will go back just for it. The price for the food were very low compared to the savor and scrumptious meals. I love it and I definitely recommend it to anyone that haven’t try it. Definitely add hummus in your shawarma. I also try to make my chicken spicy which was even more tasty!

This place just keeps getting better. The guy that works there whose name is Mo is so nice and they let us taste the food before buying it. They are just amazing! Go support them and buy some shawarma!!!
If you are looking for real desi food in Boston try House of Kebab. It won’t disappoint you at all. I think it’s best desi food I had in Boston. It’s under new management. Food was delicious. Thali was amazing at reasonable price. The Owner offered us complimentary mango and pistachio ice cream, that was awesome. I would definitely go there again and recommend this place.
Diverse, tasty menu of Turkish fare. Even those not used to Mediterranean food will find many options here! Outdoor and indoor seating, lovely decor, friendly servers. We especially enjoyed the fried zucchini pancakes, chicken kabobs and Turkish fries (w/Feta cheese, parsley). Good value for the area.

Really good spot for some Turkish cuisine. The fresh lavas they bring out is a must try! Crunchy and delicious. We went as big group and their service was fast and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Good atmosphere. Food tastes pretty good. Service is slow. Be careful, they will try to add things on by making it seem that it is included complimentary. For example we ordered the appetizer bread and it was excellent, however we asked for some dipping sauce and they offered spicy hummus. When i asked if this was complimentary i was told no and that it was $9. Prices are somewhat high for the quantity they give. Otherwise not bad.
Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Meat was juicy and fries were crispy. The quality mirrors that of the locations in downtown Detroit. Pickup was easy and Covid friendly. Also, I ordered during lunch time and they were busy but they worked quickly with great quality. Highly recommend for amazing food and cheap prices!
