Our friends held their informal wedding renewal here, and it was a great venue for a relaxed celebration. Plenty of room in the grounds, including a marquee area. There's a brilliant dance room then separate (but close) to the main pub, with it's own bar. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Very tasty food, good size of portion and not overly expensive. Service was welcoming, friendly and very pleasant. Great atmosphere inside and outside the pub.

Visited here on a sunny Saturday late afternoon and I believed they were a bit short staffed which meant the service wasn’t as it should have been. The pub and garden is very nice but the price of the food and’s beer is top end on cost. £5 a pint and £30 for a duck breast really? I see a lot of people buying food but I think it’s a bit overpriced here. My haddock and chips were fine but again for £17 I won’t be rushing back to eat.

My Wife and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner here while holidaying in the area and we weren't disappointed! The food was superb, the staff attentive and friendly and the pub characterful. Wouldn't hesitate to return when in the area again!

Absolutely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, exquisitely seasoned and served at perfect temperature with a brilliant balance of tastes with each giving the others room to shine. Great service, a brilliant dessert and a very good cider to boot.

It was really quiet but it was a Monday when I called in for food on recommendation and my friend was not wrong.

Shout out to the new young lad who was on his first shift and took the initiative to take his first order independently. Great to see good work ethic!

Exactly what you want from a Sunday roast. Roaring fire, cosy vibes, great service, yummy food and good portions.
