We lived in the Denver area for almost 15 years. Never was exposed to this place. Traveling through to destinations more NW…walked into this place and it was like we never left. Red et al were friendly, engaging, and innarested in good conversation…and for the cherry on top the food is top notch! Made from scratch, down to the salad dressings…thank y’all for having us…this place is not to be missed.

It's rare to find an original neighborhood bar, but that's....EXACTLY....what the Kentucky Inn is! When you walk in the bar is on the right and the pool tables are on the left with plenty of tables in the middle. Food is good. Beer is cold. And all of the bartenders are friendly, but not cheery. 😎 Nobody wants a 'cheery' bartender! Nobody!

Rude service from the servers. Definitely not what we expected. Place is nice and the food was good though. Something in me tells me we were treated the way we were because we spoke Spanish and we were a group of young Hispanic/Black individuals but I’d like to think that was not the reason. Even after spending a substantial amount of money at this establishment we continued to get threats of police being called on us because we left a small tip for their lousy service. That’s right! They threatened to call the police because we tipped $5 when we weren’t going to tip at all. They even said it isn’t required for us to leave a tip. No other establishment in the state of Colorado has treated us in such fashion. Don’t waste your time or money and find a place that actually treats their customers with respect and good hospitality

I was super excited to see how close of a walk this place was from Wash Park, but was extremely disappointed in the service. I came in with two small children (the baby sleeping) and kindly asked if they had a kids menu for the little girl to draw on. I was met with blatant hostility and told “No, I mean you’re at a bar what’d you expect”. The spot used to be a dive bar but is now supposed to be a restaurant/bar or atleast that’s what I thought. The server showed up to our table twice and I had to walk up to her multiple times just to get the bare minimum in service and when I asked for the check and some more water she walked away and never came back. overall the food is great but overrun by the bad attitude employees that are there

The Kentucky Inn is a a fun neighborhood hang out and a iconic bar of the 40s, the owner Jim Armstrong is an amazing entrepreneur and I was very honored and excited to be chosen to help with the renovation of the new booth, tables, barstools, and paint job. It has been serving this community since before World War II when the Gates rubber company had three shifts running, and workers would come by at six in the morning as they got off of work for something good to eat and cold beer and a place to smoke and although smoking is long gone on the inside the bar still carries age, kissed Surface of the old ashtrays and elbows. Not to see the Kentucky Inn is to miss what South Denver all about.

A very typical neighborhood bar. Not great. Not terrible.
They have a decent number of local taps. However they're all pretty cliche, predictable beers. Nothing very interesting.

Servers and bartenders have always been great, but they do seem short staffed at times.

Food has been decent. Burger I got last time, I ordered med rare and it was well done. Almost unforgivable.

Was pleasantly surprised, great service and really good food. Like really good. I can't wait to get back to try some more burgers. I did the truffle burger but with grilled chicken. Amazing! Great environment everyone was real friendly and good vibes.
It was recommended to me and I will be recommending it to others now.
