We are locals and we go often to Tokyo Sushi. We love this restaurant for the kindness of the waitress, the cozy retro atmosphere and obviously for the delicious food. We are so heartbroken that it is going to close due to the fact that the building is going to be taken down. We hope it will reopen somewhere else soon.

First Japanese restaurant in Barcelona since 1978. Very reasonable price and good portion, tasty food and authentic experience you’ll get from a Japanese restaurant. Recommend for lunch and dinner.

READ THIS REVIEW!!
to start off i've been reading the reviews with my mum and i'm pretty shocked. it was our last night in barcelona and we decided to go to a sushi restaurant near our hotel (H10 Madison) when we got into the restaurant we were immediately greeted with a smile and a table was given to us. i loved the design of the restaurant and it felt really cosy and nice, the music was good and the main waitress was so kind. the food was excellent. because i'm basic, so i ordered edamame, 6 pieces of salmon nigiri, and 6 pieces of salmon maki and it was so yummy to start - the edamame was perfectly salted, and the nigiri had (in my opinion) a perfect balance of rice and salmon in it and if you combine it with a little ball of wasabi and dip it in soy the flavours combine and it is unbelievably good. same goes for the salmon maki, and the nigiri and salmon were so good i had to order them again. now, when i say this i am NOT saying the service was slow, but the second order did take a little bit of time to come out, but this was for a number of reasons - it got quite busy, and waitress didn't write the order down i just told it to her verbally, but it was just as good as the previous order. i really hope this review encourages you to eat here and thank you for the amazing meal.

This restaurante was an amazing find. Great food, service and atmosphere.

We had gyozas and ramen, it was really good , great broth and not too expensive for the meal and amount of food.

They give you a stamp if you go there many times that will give you a free bowl of ramen after some meals.

Overall great food and experience.

Friendly staff service with extremely well designed interior that brings you to Japan. Unfortunately the food quality is disappointing. The rice was overly soaked with sauce and the unagi/eel was extremely flimsy with poor texture. Gyoza was also under seared with soggy skin texture as if it was microwaved. Perhaps the best item from the menu for the night was the green tea.
