Went here on a Humanities field trip for my school and was not expecting much. I was surprised to find out how welcoming of an environment it is and how many activities they have for kids and teenagers. I will definitely keep coming back to study.

I usually study in Monroe Public Library and I always feel comfortable sitting in the quiet zone. The floor is carpeted so you never hear the chairs. There are lots of parking spots available and I always can park easily. The library is not so big but it has two very easy to access bathrooms which has always been clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

The library is great! I go to write and study while in grad school, but they always have so many programs happening each week. The Mpnroe Free Library is truly a pillar of this community.

Nice folks. As helpful as can be.They used to have a virtual reality room before Covid changed our virtual reality and maybe it will return in our new and better reality but maybe it won’t and that’s okay too. Find a book, find a seat and read it. Or ask someone what to read and maybe they’ll tell you. Regardless of your age I suggest Harry Potter, especially the first few (they should be read in the order they were written). I recommend any of the early Nelson DeMille books. If you are a young lady, “Nancy Drew,” if you are a young man “The Hardy Boys”. They worked for me back in the 1950’s and literature doesn’t get old, people do. Okay. Some books are a bit tedious but so are some people.

Monroe Frre Library has a wonderful staff. They have assisted me in many ways including faxing, texting, and photocopying documents for a minimal fee. They have a good selection of big print books. You deserve 5 stars.
