Coabana

This establishment is all about the details! I am obsessed with how adorable the whole restaurant was. They have little rum bottles filled with propagated plants everywhere. Their food is very authentic and overall just delicious. They had so many great options we decided to grab a few of the Tapas. We ordered the Tostones, Chef’s Special Empanadas, Cubano Nachos and Arroz con leche. At first the flavor can be a shock to your palette because it so authentic but once that subsided we ate every single last bit of the food. I was incredibly impressed by all the flavors and textures. Additionally we had some cocktails - they are all rum based but they do have a full bar if that’s not your thing. We ordered the Lost in Montego and the Peachmaker. I recommend the Peachmaker if you like something more on the sweet side. The service was great as well. Coabana team works well together to build a good experience. The chef even brought out our nachos. GREAT DATE SPOT. Again though the greenery and plants really cool down the spot and make you feel like you are in Florida/Cuba.

A little bit of Miami in Phoenix! Best Cuban I’ve had outside of Florida. The empanadas were great, the guava bread pudding amazing and the banana hammock was an incredible drink. Cool vibe, excellent service. Will be back

Absolutely incredible experience tonight at Coabana in downtown Phoenix. The two gentlemen that served me were impeccably amazing. Some of the best drinks, food, and service that I have ever experienced. I just moved to Phoenix from Wisconsin 1 week ago and I'm here to stay forever because of wonderful hospitality like I received at Coabana tonight. I had an amazing pulled pork sandwich and one of their specialty rum drinks. One of the bartenders even gave me suggestions on other places to check out for food and drinks in Phoenix. I also got to try some tasty hot sauces that they had! Thank you to the staff at Coabana for making me feel at home in Phoenix. It truly warms my heart. Much love! ❤️

Beautiful decor, delicious cocktails and many of the dishes ordered were a slam dunk. It wasn’t overly noisy for a Friday evening dinner despite the restaurant being full.

Server was super personable but they seemed a bit short staffed. Several staff walked past us while we waited to be greeted by a hostess.

Yuca Fries- 6/10
Ceviche- 7/10 - love how much shrimp they give you but it lacked citrus and the other ingredients
Guava & cheese empanada- 10/10 - we ordered 2 rounds of these.
Picadillo empanadas- 9/10
Ropa Vieja- 8.7/10

Definitely would come back here! It’s a great date night spot or going out with a small group of friends.

Such a fun experience on a Saturday night! Sat at the bar and ordered a few things before wandering the town. Everything we ordered was enjoyable & flavorsome. The carajillo glassware was so pretty & loved that presentation.

Amazing across the board! Cocktails are so complex and delicious. Cubano sandwich was perfection. Justin took great care of us and made great recommendations across the board. Do not pass this place by without checking it out.

The service was great! We felt so welcomed by the staff, and the food came on our table quickly. The cream cheese and guava empanadas are delicious as a dessert! Drinks are really good too.
