Navalur Toll Plaza

It's a very good centre point for all the it sector people who are staying in nearby pg/hostels,they can book autos,cabs from there easily

No toll is collected now due to Metro train works.

It’s removed and no need to pay any money . Good that they removed as metro work is going on

This toll plaza has been removed as the overhead METRO work has been started. There is no possibility of restoring the toll plaza in this place. So no more toll need to be paid.

This is a toll plaza that has been looting residents of Navalur, Siruseri, and workers in IT parks along the OMR stretch for years now.

Despite sufficient chorus for shutting down this booth, there has been resistance from Local, State & Union Govt. There has been an announcement this week (week of 16-Oct-2023) that this toll plaza will be closed down.

This toll-plaza operator doesn't follow laid out guidelines, and it usually results in long wait-times and lines in peak hours.

The NHAI either has to increase the number of lanes (currently 3 one side and mostly one closed and they cite lack on manpower) or work out an alternative plan.
Usual wait time is nothing less than 5 min even on non peak hours. It took 15 min today and though traffic was piled up, they did not bother opening the gate instead very particular abt getting their collections.
Even when I raised a concern abt me spending 15 min they still did not budge and refused to open the barrier.

A very busy till plaza usually from 8-10 in the morning and 4-8 in the evening!!! Not well maintained , no proper planning !! Suddenly they’ll block one toll on the other side and it will be open for the vehicles in this side
