I love this place. The librarians are wonderful. They offer interesting programs. A piece if heaven here in town.

I regularly attend the Thursday Baby & Me class for ages 0 - 2 yrs old run by Ms. Peggy. This is one of my favorite classes in Bergen County. Ms Peggy really understands kids this age. Toys & bells are available thru the whole class for little ones who might have limited attention spans. There is always a felt board & each week there are different things on it. One week it was animals. Today it was different colored hearts. She sings a hello & good bye song mentioning each childs name so everyone can get to know each other. She reads age appropriate books & sings actions songs. Sometimes she has a parachute. The class ends with bubbles. My 7 month old grandson is entertained from start to finish. Thank you, Miss Peggy, for providing us with this wonderful program

Update as of Nov 9, 2023: It seems that Miss Peggy has retired and a replacement has not yet been found. None of the items photoed are currently available for the children. As such, I have downgraded the rating from a 5 stars to 3 stars. I hope the wonderful program that used to be offered will be reinstated!

Yesterday when I went to the library I felt that I was being racially profiled being a Black woman. The young lady who was helping me insisted I pay her before she sent my fax. Which is not how it was done in the past. She insinuated that I did not have enough money to pay. And when I asked for her supervisor, Omar F. Kahn, he came out and backed up her handling of the situation. I always thought supervisors and/or managers are suppose to make a wrong situation right! I felt unheard in the situation with Mr. Kahn!

I love this library so much. Especially I think their Children's Department is one of the best in Bergen County. The librarians are dedicated and welcoming the children.

I have never encountered a more rude individual then I did this past week in the library. I have been a patron for 34 years and have contributed to many things here, as requested. This employee of RP library needs to hone in on her skills when it comes to dealing with the public.

I absolutely love this place. Nice, helpful, welcoming staff -- always smiling. Bright and cheerful atmosphere.

Throughout the year, this library has something fun for all ages -- from monthly movies to authors' visits and lectures to weekly adult coloring to crochet for children, teens, and adults. Their seasonal activities and gatherings are great as well. I especially look forward to the summer reading raffles, and the book and bake sales.

This library is also part of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System. Pronounced “BUCKLES," the BCCLS is comprised of 77 public libraries in Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Bergen counties. Via online requests (best way) or with the help of a librarian, you can rent materials from all of those libraries. For DVD lovers, it's like having 77 Blockbusters at your fingertips. I rented one particularly obscure movie that I last saw when I was age 5 and never thought I would see again!
