Great view and even better food. This food was delicious! Serving size look small but they are satisfying not full but not hungry but perfectly satisfied. The fusion of spices and flavors in the food takes your taste buds in a journey. I highly recommend this restaurant

I went here to celebrate my best friend’s engagement! I chose this spot because it is one of the few rooftop restaurants in DTLA .Incredible view with an upscale casual vibe, dishes are recommended to be shared.

Parking was not too difficult, it’s downtown so it’s not great. But they offer valet and there’s a paid parking lot right next to them.

My friend is a vegetarian, so we opted for all vegetarian dishes. They had a decent amount of vegetarian dishes, however I wished they had more vegetarian entrees that weren’t just salads. The menu that they had was also different than what we saw online, they might have a rotating menu.
We opted for non alcoholic drinks and sparkling water. I loved the hibiscus limenade, but the strawberry lemonade was a touch too sour. Sparkling water I could’ve done without.
Stand out dishes for me were the carrot tacos (best carrots I’ve ever had), the focaccia bread, and the fries. Whatever aioli they had for the fries was something I would keep going back for. On top of that, they gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate! I think it was their dulce de leche cake w/ ice cream and bananas. So good and so very thoughtful and attentive of the staff!
Dishes I wouldn’t recommend - the Mac and cheese. It was good, but nothing outstanding. My biggest complaint is the serving size is so small for $15. Not worth it in my opinion.

Would I come here again, yes! I think this is great location to show off when you have people visiting or a nice lunch date. Would love to come back and try their meat and seafood items.

A chic restaurant serving up delicious dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The ambiance is trendy and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal or special occasion.

This is a very nice place to spend your time with friends or family, the views are amazing and the service is superb, but unfortunately the food is not very good. I still recommend this place based on the atmosphere and the service from the staff.

Roof top, salty food.
This bar and restaurant is located inside of the Proper Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Parking is easy but you have to pay around 15 dollars if you are not a guest. It is on the 16th floor of the penthouse and Roof top. Since the location is not in the best part of the downtown Los Angeles, so the view is less metropolitan but some small buildings and parking structures. Especially, when the unfinished Oceanside Plaza, was tall and ugly, right in front of the bar area, so you don't have a lot of good looking buildings in the view anymore.
I ordered a seared Tuna. It had five pieces of Tuna fish. The price was 24 dollars. The fish was delicious and tender. However, the vegetables under it, was very salty! I had to drink a lot of water, so I could enjoy it. The hotel building itself, is historical and rather beautiful. However, it looked so lonely and isolated, since it is the very few nice looking buildings in the area.
I can imagine, it will look much better during the night time.

Cara Cara Restaurant in downtown LA provided an exceptional Valentine's dinner experience. The stunning views, romantic vibe, and impeccable service made our evening unforgettable. Each dish was a culinary delight, and we can't wait to return for more magical moments. Highly recommend Cara Cara for a romantic dining experience in LA!

Feel free to adjust it as you see fit!

Cara Cara was recommended by a friend. It was really nice. Up on the roof. The day we went just happened to be absolutely beautiful and clear. The food was very very good. The service was great. The kitchen was a little bit slow but the manager surprisingly comped a couple of our dishes and we didn't even complain. They recognized the kitchen was slow and took initiative to make sure their customers were happy. I really appreciated that. We will definitely be back. Great place to meet with friends on a Sunday afternoon.
