Morena Peruvian Kitchen

One of the best meals I had in Peru! Ceviche is top notch, one of the best I’ve had. Pork belly was great. Would probably skip the guacamole and seafood risotto. It was a lot of food for the 2 of us. Loved the meal, highly suggest making reservation.

My dining experience at Morena was nothing short of fantastic, we arrived for lunch without a reservation so we were lucky to get a table without much wait. The service was quite prompt and so is the overall ambience in the restaurant. Coming to the food, everything we ordered was great, the ceviche was the best I had during my stay in Peru, the soup was hearty and filling. We also got the alpacca risotto and it was amazing too. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to dine in Cusco

Luckily we were able to get a table (lunch) after about 40 mins of wait. Food presentation was great, clean restaurant,staff are really friendly and courteous. Food was just a little bit salty for us or maybe because we rarely use salt when cooking. Tried to book for dinner to try other dishes but unfortunately they are fully booked . I do recommend this place .

Wonderful meal. Excellent service. Highly recommend booking reservations one month in advance. Food was delicious. Service was on point. Went during lunch time when they open and within 30 mins many of the seats where fill with patrons.

The best experience in all of Peru as of yet. The staff were all so attentive and excellent. The food was at a Michelin star level - delicious pairings of flavor and presentation was great.

Visited Cusco in late April 2024 from Los Angeles for my birthday and this was the best dinner that we had in Peru. It gave me a new appreciation for Peruvian cuisine and was a real highlight of our trip. Morena has a great location right in Plaza de Armas, and has great views of the center of the square and both cathedrals. We had reservations, but there was a long line of people there when we arrived trying to sit down as a walk-in but were unable. This place is very popular so I would definitely recommend making reservations.

Our waiter was very polite and very quick with the refills, and the prices here are unbeatable compared to the United States. Decided to try the Sopa Criolla to start for my first time and I truly loved it. It’s basically a beef stew with angel hair pasta, and it truly has deep and rich flavors. I have already started looking for it back here in LA. For my entrée I chose the Lomo Saltado and even though I’ve had that dish before this was the best version that I’ve ever had. The steak was extremely tender, juicy, and had a great flavor. They also have a lot of great beer and wine options and we definitely did not leave hungry or thirsty.

Given the location, the quality of food, and the price this is a must visit while in Cusco and I would say it’s my favorite restaurant in the city so far. I would recommend to anyone and plan to be back next time I am in Peru.

The food here was so good!

We had the chorizo starter, burger and pesto gnocchi. All was really delicious - even the bread and butter they brought out the start was amazing too. The presentation of the food was really pretty!

Staff were lovely, highly recommend - it’s really busy so you may want to book a table.

We were in the mood for a rooftop that evening so we came here. We did not have reservations and were able to walk in (it was slow season). It was around 19.00 so it was right around sunset. The view from our table, which was not even next to window, was soo beautiful! The restaurant overlooks the whole plaza and faces the right direction to watch the sun disappear behind the cathedral.

The dining experience was lovely. Our waiter was so kind and friendly. The food and drinks were also really nice and quality. Usually it is hard to find a place with a great view and commensurate food/service, but this place has it all.
