MARUYASU FRANKFURT SANDWEG

We had a Gyoza menu and some udon noodles - we loved the food and can’t wait to go back.

Can’t really judge ambience or service as we visited late afternoon and the restaurant was pretty much empty.

Five stars for the udon bowl alone

Unfo not as good as it was before. We had two of their noodle soups yesterday and both of them have been very poor tastewise. Esp. the ramen broth was very watery, no taste at all. Noodles totally overcooked and nearly dissolving.

Probably a bad day but my feeling is there is no chef in the kitchen any more but only temporary staff with no idea about the dishes and Japanese cooking.

Very frustrating as this place has a long and successful history.

Ramen was good, but sushi do not taste as good as in other places. Also, prices are a bit too high for this kind of place.

Microwaved pre-cooked and soggy Gyozas drizzled with a sweet tahini sauce. Yuck!!! Slow service even though they had no customers and even I asked for fresh Gyoza, they took them out of the fridge and stuck them in the microwave. Ramen was ok- nothing to write home about

Super delicious. It is one of the most comfortable places to eat. Calm and beautiful.

Korean and Japanese style restaurant. However their sushi is premade and in containers like you are buying it from a store, not fresh at all. Their ramen dishes were ok, not perfect, just ok.
And to top it all off, they only accept cash and not credit card! (Very common in Frankfurt based on my limited experience, so have cash on you if you visit)

Generous portions, superb gyoza and good takeaway ramen! Would certainly recommend.
