The premises are serene and beautiful. The idol is beautiful and right next to Ganges. The place is well connected and try to go in the morning for quick in/out. For me the odd thing was that priests are looking to make a quick buck- the priest didn’t let me put the money in donations but asked to hand it over. This was probably my biggest disappointment.
Dakshineswar Kali Temple is One of the most Prestigious Temple in Dakshineswar. If you Want to Buy the Bhog ticket, you have to come within 9 am. The Ambience is Amazing. There are 2 Ghats From where The Ganga River looks Absolutely Beautiful. Overall, if you want to Calm Yourself, then You have to Visit Dakshineswar Bhabotarini Temple 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Dakshineswar Kali Temple holds great significance in Hinduism. In the 19th century, Rani Rashmoni got a vision from Ma Kali to establish a temple near the River Ganges.
We need to submit our phones and shoes to get inside (charge is 6 rupees per item). We spent about 40 minutes in the temple.

One of the biggest temples of kalimata , located in the heart of the kolkata city. It is made with yellow Yellowstone , and it has a huge area covering the premises of temple. A must visit place for all the devotees of maa kali.
The temple is located on the banks of a river. People come there and Take bath in the river , then go for darshan. The temple is closed in the afternoon hours and reopens at around 3 o clock.

A very spiritual and powerfully peaceful experience for me and my friends. We came here all the way and cannot explain the utter feeling of peace that washed over us as soon as we entered. It was a beautiful and moving experience,One of the Devotee place in Kolkata ..
Very peaceful place. You can see Hooghly river from the backside of the temple. There are dedicated counters for keeping your bags, shoes and mobile phones before entering the temples.
A place of devotion and visited by thousands of devotees. The temple is well maintained and they even take security quite seriously. Many many years ago it was quite chaotic but now everything is orderly and systematic. Reaching there is easy too with the Metro going up to Dakshineswar.
