There is so fantastic to see what Australia happened in World War II,and that clearly shows how war impacted the Australia.
You can see the MacArthur’s office established in 1942 during South West Pacific war.

The restoration of the general's office was fantastic to see. it's incredible that even today the museum rediscovered features of the original build. The exhibits are informative and full of detail. This is a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this small gem of a museum. For two hours we were immersed into life in Brisbane during WWII and the wider Pacific war. The guide, Paul, was knowledgeable and passionate. Highly recommend!

A fascinating part of the history of World War 2. General MacArthur based his command in this building. May we know peace throughout the world one day.

Excellent exhibition of MacArthur and life in WWII Brisbane- his HQ office is well preserved. You can self guide or go with a guide at no extra cost. Choose the guide he knows his stuff.

I was delighted to find this museum, as it was unexpected in the centre of Brisbane. General Douglas MacArthur set-up the Allied HQ for the Pacific Campaign during WW2. The museum explores and explains the changes imposed on Brisbane by the demands of 750,000 allied troops billeted around the city. The museum is on the 8th floor, and compact but very interesting and worthwhile.
