Kletteranlage Flakturm

My family stumbled across this while eating lunch in the park. My kids had a blast! Thanks so much.

There was no instructor available, so me and my friend were not able to climb the big wall. Instead we went bouldering. It was cheap but you could tell, the wall was really small and the shoes felt mediocre.

There was no surveillance and only one employee, that wasn't looking out for the climbers. You have to fill in a form with all your personal information, like adress and age, to make an account for bouldering. For tourists who want to climb once in Austria that seems unnecessary.

I recommend to book a training beforehand so that you can enjoy the view from the wall. Otherwise it's quite the disappointment to only be able to boulder.

Friendly staff. Great place to practice climbing in the heart of Vienna. Great usage of the former air defence tower which also houses an aquatic zoo.

Friendly staff, but just small bouldering area and sport climbing area is also not that numerous... Super high though!

Very friendly staff. And a nice place to climb, even for beginners!

Was really nice to be that high up in the middle of a city climbing. At the top you have a really nice view over the roofs of the city.
It's also not expensive and a really cool experience!
4 stars because quiet a few holds were a little or completely lose.

Super endroit pour faire de l'escalade dans le centre de Vienne, une activité originale lors d'un weekend et qui offre une super vue sur la ville et de belles sensations avec ses 30m de hauteur. L'accueil est super sympa, je recommande pour tous les sportifs !

Nice place for climbing, welcoming is perfect and the wall give good feeling and a beautiful view of Vienna!
