Puffing Billy Park and Playground

Nice park for kids. Great place for picnic. Get to see Puffing Billy pass by really close. Close to shops also.

A great park for kids! On top of the playground, there is bbq, picnic area, gazebo and toilet too! Nice to stay and sit under the tree whilst watching the kids play.

Grew up near here and was saddened by the sign outside saying it was a temporary place. But lo and behold it still lives :D still love playing here although I'm far too big. Good picnic tables around, though not as many as some years ago. What I like best however is the fact that the playground itself has mostly been left as it was when I was a kid.

This is my favourite place 2 catch the puffing billy with the kids. Picnic in the park while the little ones run off the 'extra steam' in the playground or grab a 5* coffee & baked delight from the Belgrave bakery down the road. Either way an icecream from the specialty🍦 shop is the best way to finish off a great day out. Absolutely love this place!

Really good playground with toilets and picnic tables and an undercover area. Kids love to see Puffing Billy travelling by regularly and the ice cream shop across the road is a nice bonus! Partially fenced. Needs more tables.

This is a great little park to take the kids. We were there on a Sunday & a dinosaur puppeteer had been organised to walk around Emerald which the kids loved. The park isn't the biggest or greatest but has enough climbing areas, a couple of slides as well as swings to keep the kids amused for a while. It's quite open so if it's sunny remember the sunscreen. And there are public toilets right next door.

Awesome little playground and picnic spot. Has public BBQ and toilets. Loads of space to run around and good play equipment. Watch the stream trains go past or break your Puffing Billy journey here for lunch.
