McGill University Hospital Emergency

Extremely terrible experience, especially at night time when there is no staff to help the patients. Keep waiting from day to night and no one can ask the questions, so disappointed and it is a waste of time!

Extremely disappointed with the services. I am doubtful about their capability to handle emergency. Horrible organization and made me Waite for 23hrs by saying “you are next and it’s good since you waited this long”. Atleast be honest. I was at the hospital around 10am and waited till next morning 10am. If there is 0 star then I would have given that. I was with my 3 months old baby and my Husband and was breastfeeding with so much pain. They offer you pain med but since I am breastfeeding, I don’t wanna risk my baby’s health. I regret giving my information and everything to this hospital. Hope they improve what they represent.

Have no choice to visit Glen once more, present at 8:20am Sunday then wait until approximative afternoon for first nurse meeting not tirage, because the symptoms need have a CT scan then wait until then morning 2:00am, they said the result may take few hours and wait doctor change shift at 8:00am, now 8:15am and still waiting, 24 hours no sleep no food only few water … I just thinking is this our government try to punish us the citizen? We pay tax but worse service???

They have one ER doctor on the night and morning shift. With a steady inflow of life threatening cases to the ER, forget having your urgent case seen any time soon. I've been given false timelines again and again.

The worst Emergency EVER… if your pregnant and you are worried for the well being of your baby please do not come here. I waited 6 hours for them to call me and ask me question and take blood sample waiting another 11 hours passes by its after 8 am the next day they take more blood from me and then asked me for urine test why wasn’t this taken cared the first time. 17 hours in total and still no update on what’s going on. If you are dying go somewhere this isn’t the place you wanna die in… mind you as I am writing this I am once again in the waiting room playing thr waiting game. All these nurses but no doctors… DO BETTER !!! Oh also they show no empathy at alllllllll worse place in Montreal you are better off going to the Jewish lasalle verdun saint-Mary’s but not this stupid hospital everyone in the ER felt the same way I did expect more bad reviews.

Remarkably unpleasant experience, even by Quebec standards. The shortage of doctors is the loudest problem, but the fed-up, negligent and overworked staff poses serious issues when it comes to needing help or answers. Waiting in this ER was a harrowing experience and one I hope I don’t have to put myself through often. At times truly scary; a patient experiencing a mild heart attack waited several hours as they weren’t deemed “priority”, even though they had the chest pain red flag symptom. I watched a senior scream for oxygen for roughly 30 minutes to an empty room. So awful and it makes you realize the horrific state our Medicare system is in here. You can tell this is a government problem and not a people problem.
