The Jewish General used to be a good hospital...twenty-five years ago. In more recent years, they would send my elderly father home, saying that he was ready to be discharged, only for him to have a relapse, and go though the entire antiquated and tiresome emergency process again. They kept doing this until he died. Thank you very much. That's why I no longer donate to the JGH.

So I am here from past 2 days in emergency it took 9 hours on Thursday and 12 on Friday just for an ultrasound after 12 hours to get to see a resident doctor.

Again doctor called for a blood test even if only are here in the ER for a blood test you will have to wait no nurse will do the test so atleast things can move faster, even you are here for 2 days even you have been called by doctor again BUT NO YOU WILL WAIT WE WILL CALL YOUR NAME 🙏🏻

Horrible experience at this hospital! My vital surgery, scheduled two months in advance, was cancelled just one minute before the procedure due to a lack of sufficient nursing staff.
We arrived at 10:00 AM and waited for four hours before being taken to the surgery room, then they took me to the surgery room and exactly 1 min before surgery they told “it’s cancel” , only to be told that the surgery was postponed for another 1.5 months. The stress and trauma I experienced were unbearable. The hospital shows a complete disregard for patients' lives, time, and schedules. Unacceptable!

Say what you want, this is a world class hospital. Over the past 2 years I have been there close to 20 times and never once was I treated unprofessionally. People of all ethnicities work at and use this hospital, you won’t find a more inclusive place.

I love their team approach - in the clinic I go to the nurses, doctors, and gatekeepers all work well together and it obvious that employee morale is good.

We had my dad at the geriatrics unit. The staff were generally very competent, kind and supportive. The doctor that was assigned for my dad’s medical care was the complete opposite. It’s so unfortunate that there can be doctors that can be uncommunicative, with no display of compassion for patient and family, and simply quite rude. She never returned phone calls, didn’t show up at our family meeting ( despite the fact that she called the meeting and insisted on the day and time), sent her new resident ( two days on the ward) to field some questions on one occasion. This is shameful

The Jewish General is a bilingual hospital staffed by professionals helping those who enter. Personally, I have been there on five occasions over two months. Each time I've been impressed by the attention given to me by staff, nurses and doctors. It's a great place and it's a busy place, so sometimes our understanding and patience is required.
