Maple Grove Park

What a great playground/park. Nice & shady in the heat. Super fun!

Cute playground with a specific section for littles and then another one for older toddlers.
A good circle side path for biking, that's flat that goes around the park.
Really easy parking. Some shade.
And several picnic tables.

I thought this playground was going to be a lot cooler than it actually was. It looks pretty, but as far as substance goes I thought it was lacking. At least speaking for my three year old I guess. It is kind of broken into two parts—one for littles and one for big kids. The problem I saw seemed that the equipment meant for little kids was a bit too easy and rather boring while the equipment meant for bigger kids was waaayy too advanced and not anything she would be able to enjoy right now. I felt that there wasn’t anything in between the super basic or the exceptionally advanced obstacles to hold her attention. And as she gets older my opinion of this playground might change!

I do have to say that she was very impressed with the huge climb-on insect installments and was a bit mesmerized by the bright colors and whimsical theme. It is very unique as far as playgrounds go but I was expecting it to be a bit larger and equipped with more of a variety of exciting and unique apparatus to play-on to match the unique and exciting aesthetic qualities of the park.

5 years ago we got married at this park under the gazebo. It was magical then and still is! They have updated the playground and the upgrades are so cool! Much more inclusive, new swings, lots of climbing opportunities. & a new smaller tot area for littler babies learning to walk and play! Shady spots and benches too!! Basketball court, restrooms, baseball field, picnic areas. Definitely 10/10, forever recommend 👌

Park is in a really nice location, has benches/tables and bathrooms. They have a playground for older kids and younger kids. The older kid playground does get fairly hot in the afternoon because it is not shaded. The younger kid park is shaded most of the day so the equipment wasn’t too hot.

Great playground with some wonderful non-traditional features!
The bridges, ropes, and ladders are great for coordination and strength building, and the novel use of bugs and other critters makes it an attention grabbing place. The treehouse is brilliant and everyone loves it!
Plenty of parking and picnic spots, and the older kids have an area that's away from the one for the littles (though the littles can do some of the big kids play area too).

The playground here is fantastic for little ones! All of the equipment is very new and in excellent condition. Even the porta potty is in excellent condition and actually smells good! Prospect Recreation and Parks District really cares about this park!
