North Shore Liquor Shop

$33 for 12 Kokanees. Last time I ever buy anything at this rip-off store

Staff seems annoyed by my presence whenever I come into this liquor store, had one experience where I forgot my ID at home and the cashier was very rude to me about it. Almost everytime I've come in recently the staff are talking to each other instead of ringing up customers and even when ringing you up they will ignore you and continue their conversation. At this point I've decided I might as well go to BCL, I might get the same treatment but at least the best is cheaper and the service is faster.

I always try to support local businesses by doing my businesses there. However, I’ll never again try this store, even though I have been a loyal customer for the past 5 years. Today, my brother (38 years old) and I (42) visited this store to grab a pack of beer. My brother is visiting us from abroad, so he doesn’t carry his passport all the time. At the cashier, the lady asked him to show two IDs while I was paying. I understand that it's the store's rule, and I'm fine with that. However, when my brother said he didn't have any IDs at the moment, the lady responded with a very rude attitude, asking how we could step into a liquor store without any IDs, as if we were kids trying to do something unlawful. We were shocked and still can’t believe she tried to humiliate us!

Horrible experience. Came from out of province to visit a friend and he drove me here to get some beer’s because it’s where he always goes. Upon presenting both my Ontario drivers license and health card the lady at the front counter started bending them telling me they were fake when in-fact they are real and my only forms of photo ID. I also presented my credit card with my name on it and she said it didn’t matter. Went to the store across the street and had much better service. Even with my ids slightly bent. Don’t bother waisting your time or money here.

(Edit) While I understand the laws I came in with TWO PIECES of Valid PHOTO Ontario ID. I also offered to show my credit card with my full name, Toronto bus pass ext. I understand my face looks young for my age but I’m also covered in tattoos. Please train your employees on out of province IDs I haven’t had this problem anywhere else the entire time I’ve been here.

Awesome staff, good at making recommendations! When I first stepped foot into that De Havilland DHC-8-400 bound for Kamloops, my liver was still processing the final drops of the Grower's that I had downed in the back of my mum's Nissan Cherry on the way to Abbotsford International Airport. I will never forget the kind service of the North Shore Liquor shop for making my traumatic move to the hindquarters of BC an enjoyable experience! xoxo

Great local spot. Convenient and friendly people. I don't understand why their payment terminal is programed to ask for tips. It's awkward when I walk in and pick up my case of beer and head to pay for it. What would I be tipping you for?

This small but mighty neighborhood liquor stop has just about anything you may need for an evening home or an evening with friends and family. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I love they have a delivery service. Looking forward to going again.
