Taken by our friends for lunch. Portions on the "small side"
Two of the meals served on a cracked wooden board! (Trendy but unhygienic!) Food quality fairly acceptable. Price absurdly high, and with their (so called discretionary!) service charge of 10% - very poor value.
Not many other diners noted! Why?
Hope they don`t take us again!

The pub is set in a small village with a great view that looks over Chipstead Lake. You are able to sit on the green opposite the pub but only allow plastic cups which is understandable. I did not have food on this occasion so cannot comment on it. The service was not great the bartender was more interested in talking to his friends. There was another person doing some sort of cash up, and also showed no interest in assisting us. When we got served the beer was cold crisp and you can tell they clean their lines. Good pub to visit but hope they resolve the service.

Just had a great meal, pie of the day (steak and mushroom) followed by the cheese board. What huge portions, great taste and value! Great find! Also a good selection of gluten free dishes.

Very cool place with friendly waitresess :) and the Viewegh on the Lake... thisnis a must stop :)
I had an Ale (didn't ask which one, but I.asked for hers favourite) and it is delicious. It was 2,65£

Absolutely faultless. Service was prompt and friendly, food served quickly and portions enormous. Fish and pie definitely recommended. Ensure you come hungry!

Absolutely brilliant food, atmosphere and service. I just popped in for a quick lunch, as I was working in a school down the road. I ended up with the most amazing sausage sandwich, and made it back to school on time. Win, win! The staff were so friendly, quick, and the food was amazing.

Visited for the first time. Pie of the day was delicious, fresh local meat, huge portions- reminded me of pies in Devon! Mash and chips were good too. Staff were friendly. Parking was on the road, its a small road which I can imagine at peak times would be busy, but there were no parking restrictions. Inside was a little small not a huge amount of seating and the outdoor seating was only 4 tables (overlooking the road and then the lake), but overall a decent reasonably priced country pub with seemingly good quality food. Worth a visit, would recommend opting for their local food!
