The Grumpy Mole Epsom

I was there with friends on a pleasantly warm summer evening. I only had a bar snack (spicy cauliflower bites). They were good. I got the impression the food would be great, and want to return to find out! Great location and nice staff/service.

Great spot hidden away in Epsom. Had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. The serving portions were large as well! All in all a great experience

We had sunday lunch here today. Firstly the welcome was excellent and our waitress was really lovely!
I had the trio of roasts, and it looked really good. My friends had the seabass and prawns.
They enjoyed their fish and it was cooked well.
They had the same veg as i had with my roast, which was a bit odd. It was amedley of carrots and cabbage. They lacked flavour and weren't seasoned. In to the roasts. It looked ok and was cooked pretty well, but everything lacked flavour and seasoning. The gravy tasted like powdered gravy. I had horseradish, which was hot and spicy. The cranberry sause was nice with the chicken, but they had no red currant jelly for the lamb.. which is a big oversight! Lastly the roast potatoes werent crispy or cruchy at all.
Overall it just lacked flavour!!

very beautiful summer terrace and very friendly staff, the restaurant has a small menu but very tasty dishes, I recommend it if you want to sit in silence and enjoy delicious dishes

Amazing service here at the Grumpy Mole in Epsom, Lauren welcomed me as I was a bit early for our table, She was extremely helpful, in several ways. the food was exceptional, and I don't use that term lightly. The atmosphere was warm, light background music playing. My two other guests were also very happy with their chosen dishes. The garden looked appealing (sun was finally shining)!

I would recommend Grumpy Mole at Epsom highly.

Table of 6, food was very good, all had roasts, only slight comment although still nice was chicken was slightly dry, everything else was really well cooked, staff were very good, polite, helpful attentive without being intrusive, enjoyed the meal and happily go back, as we went mid afternoon would put the chicken down as a one off, beef, lamb and veg, Yorkshire were definitely work the visit. It was busy but in good way, and plenty of room.

A gem of a restaurant nestled in a residential area. Such great service and a thoughtful selection of items even for vegetarians and vegans.

First time visiting here.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very nice staff and shown to our table.
Our waiter Sam was great and very professional.
There were 9 of us in total from ages 5 -88 and everyone of us enjoyed our food.
The menu is fantastic.
This place is in my top 3 now where I have eaten out on a Sunday.
We will definitely be returning in the very near future.
