Taqueria Los Comales Pilsen

Amazing, amazing food! Came here with a big group of friends and we all got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Everything smelled amazing and tasted great as well. Definitely try their table jalapeños - I personally loved them better than the salsas they had. Price of things was also a plus as most of us spend less than $15 on food and drinks.

This place has amazing authentic food at a quality price. It’s rowdy, it’s divey, it’s grounded. The restaurant lets the food speak for itself, and doesn’t try to use flashy aesthetics or a fancy atmosphere to distract from the quality.

We visited Los Comales twice in the span of 3-4 days if that says anything. The dining room seems to be bustling even at 11/12 at night booths/tables packed with families, couples, friends. We recommend los tacos de cecina y huarache de asada paired with an agua fresca. (especially the horchata or guava). 12/10 flavors packing a delightful, authentic Mexican punch, 10/10 friendly staff, and a cozy, family- style space all at a reasonable price. 10/10 will return this gem in Pilsen. 🇲🇽❤️🌮

Bad service! The male waiter excessively confused my order. It was simple. When the food came, it still 1was not correct. I was charged for food I didn't order. While dinning in, the waite never r came back to the table. The billI was not correct. It was difficult to get the charges taken off the bill. Do not order the guacamole. It cost $ 8! I was shocked 😲. The pickled vegetable at your table can only be eaten with your meal for free. You can not take any with your leftovers. If caught, you will be billed for the pickled vegetable . The food tasted great.

Ok I use to go the original on 26th kedzie in the 80s 90s it was fantastic. Then over the years they fell off just was not hitting right stop going for years. I decided to go in for the shrimp tacos wow they are amazing. And order a pozole it was incredible also piping hot with flavor. Definitely will be coming back to the Pilsen location

As a New Mexican, I can proudly say that this is a Very Good restaurant. Excellent food, great environment, and you will leave satiated for around $8 a person. I love this place.

I visited this taqueria on my last day in Chicago and I wish I would’ve tried it sooner. We tried another highly rated taco shop that was located in the back of a supermarket and we were super disappointed and underwhelmed with those tacos.
I almost wrote off all Chicago tacos after our first experience but I’m glad I gave taqueria Los comales a chance, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. We got a ton of tacos and they were all absolutely delicious. The aguas Frescas we’re all super refreshing and tasty. I would recommend trying this place!
