I'm very disappointed in this school, staff, principal, dean. I used to hear stories of the bullying that was allowed in this school. Its was hard to believe until it hit home. We send our children to school to learn, as well as thinking they're going to be safe. But unfortunately this not the case.

My son has attended this school since kindergarten. He is now in 8th grade. Elementary school for him was awesome here. The teachers were consistent, curriculum was good and the school was pretty organized. Unfortunately, middle school has been progressively worse. From lack or organization to the inability to keep teachers for long period if times. My son started off with a homeroom teacher and shortly after school started they were taking his class and dividing the kids into the other 3 8th grade classes. From there he ended up No homeroom teacher and multiple subs. My sons Grades have been misplaced, attendance records have been mixed up, teachers aides have graded his work wrong, teachers have waited to the last minute to post grades to parent portal.. And lastly all records of my sons grades from 6th grade can not be found which subsequently counts against him as he is applying for renassaince highschool. This school, overall needs organization, accountability, & better staff!

Thank God this school year is coming to an END! The most disappointing, disastrous, school in history! The teachers are burnt out and don’t care, the middle school kids are very disrespectful and disregarding to parents and the little babies that attend the school. The principal is slow, and has no authority. No one listens to him. The communication is terrible here you find out everything days before it happens like the threw together concert they had today! If you have a Kindergarten child don’t send them here if you’re expecting that first time experience. I’m very disappointed! I could go on and on but you should get the message. RUN FAR AWAY

This is my daughters first year at this school, she’s in kindergarten, and it will be her last. From the first days it’s just been very unorganized and chaotic to me which gives me anxiety, and honestly I don’t like the fact that the middle school students are there, I should’ve put her in an all elementary school anyway. Secondly the office staff is unpleasant, I won’t say all, but one particular lady that rubs me the wrong way every time and it’s starting to bother me. Also if you’re going to be working in the office at least make sure you look the par. That should be mandatory and at least acknowledge the parents that’s walking in. It’s always crowded with students every time I go in they office. I’ve had to walk out several times due to the fact that I’m not even being acknowledged. Ex: Hello we will be with you shortly. You know, things of that nature. Not really enthused with their curriculum either. Oh yeah and my baby had had two teachers already and it’s kbmy November.

Hello, I went to this school about three years ago. I would like to say that I highly do not recommend coming to this school. Before I left I had been going there for six years and when I first came here which was when they had Pre-K and I was in Pre-K the school was amazing besides being bullied. The next year the school had added two more teachers to the Kindergarten and there were about 70 kids total in that grade even though there had only been 30 kids the year before. The next year had been ok but my grade grew to 100 kids and the school had to add two more teachers to that grade. That year I had been harassed by several boys that year physically but the teachers didn't do much about that situation. The next year was terrible when it came to dealing with behavioral issues also the school had to get two more teachers once again. My teacher and the sorta teacher assistant were ridiculous when it came to dealing with the students. You see we had card flipping behavior chart and it was almost impossible to stay on green(means you aren't causing any problems) the entire day, you would get a card flip for the silliest things for example if you have your foot one inch off the line you would get a card flip. Fast forward through third grade which was the best year I learned more in that grade than I did my entire time at the school. My fourth grade year was when the school went downhill the math teacher who left in the middle of the school year was the laziest teacher she skipped lesson because she said that she didn't feel like teaching it and the reading teacher left too but suddenly. The replacement for the math teacher was ok but she was on her phone a lot. After that year I left. I would like to say that there was a case where at lunch the meat that was supposed to be grilled chicken was a pale pink pattie and about an hour after lunch every kid who ate the "grilled chicken" went home. Another thing about lunch was that it was rushed we get down to lunch 2 min after getting out of class and 5 min later it was time to clean up. Another thing was the academics the main reason I left was because school was too easy not a lot of my past piers would agree on that but the school didn't have the highest test scores. Overall I would say I had some of my best memories at that school but once I don't recommend going there.

Hello, my daughter attended this school last year. Everytime I picked her up, she was never in the same spot. There aren't any designated areas for them to be in. I found her sometimes watching herself and no teacher to be found. Security at this school was not secure. There are a few good teachers, and some good staff members. Hopefully they improve this school year, but my daughter won't be attending.

I am a student at WPA and I didn't have the best experience, I would have liked to have. I've been a student at Washington- Parks Academy for 3+ years.
The food isn't the best, but I'm sure not every school has great food, and a few kids have gotten food poisoning (including me).
The classroom environment isn't the healthy place, most of the class rooms are trashed. Some times I will pick up the trash, but other times other kids clean it up.
I'm in the 8th grade and I feel as if we only have about 2 teachers that actually care about us learning or even try to teach us. Other teacher, I honestly think they come as a hobby or just something to do.
The office is a great help to me, I go to the office when I need help or someone just to listen to my problems. (Ms. Williams helps me).

But this just my opinion...
