If you benefit from this review, share a cuppa coffee. The commercial is correct. This isn't a profession. After 100 years, they can't figure out what they are and try to be everything. They are not GCs and do not construction admin work (better not without a license). They have a long list of consultants who do the construction documents because they can't. Even an "award winning RLA" emailed me begging for for help with a contractor. They are NOT doing thesis. The schools will not publish these because it's an 8th grade book report level of research not university academic. The YA in my class were so gipped on their education - they didn't know better. They were lavished with praise for middle school level illustrations and research. Collaborative learning? No smart person thinks that's "how people learn". Blind do not teach the blind. 95% of my class didn't have an AA degree and yet were were in a graduate program together? Jobs everywhere? Go look on job sites yourself and count. It's not. They are NOT a science. The instructor teaching that class couldn't even read the psychology studies (psychology is a science) he assigned to the class. I'm not being paid to teach the class. What a joke. Unfortunately, I know better what they should be than they do. That's a fact. As the whistle blower (I pulled back the curtain and even the wizard left a sign - gone back to Kansas this place is fraud) I have been called names, bullied, and denied employment (allegedly age discrimination). If they do not "like" you - you will not get the state license. That's not merit based employment. Even the national committee members were going to get cut for not showing up. It is a volunteer organization. Most people just resume pad and do nothing. A nonprofit requires better business management skills than this organization currently has. They advertise that this organization is growing when the data shows that they are forced to give away memberships to students and students for conferences because they won't pay for one. In fact, this organization is fading away quickly. I felt bad for one YA who contacted me saying his manager yelled at him all the time like he was a 3 year old. Many offices are pushing staff to work 100 hour weeks? That's called wage theft (allegedly) . Then they gas light you by saying we are such a "divine profession" that people need to work lots of hours for it. Really? No, its actually called no business skills and poor time management. I have sent many complaints and written to you. If you are ready to develop and be a professional that the architects and engineers will respect, call me. Otherwise, if you are thinking about this career or a career change - get an architecture degree and take horticulture classes. The Gas just hire a local landscaper to meet codes anyway. It's not hard. At the end of the day, this place is all sizzle and no steak. Cheers!
