Ordered their Lezzet Istanbul full meet shawarma and it’s the worst I had from tcr, it was 200 something…There was some kind of sauce like tar tar , it was awful.. Guys, honestly for God’s sake just choose some other place!!!

I have ordered shawarma and chicken pops ....which is the worst one I ever had..

One of the finest places in Thrissur to have a good Kunafa. The place is cozy and cute. It has minimal option of dine in with seats limited to few, however one can use the outdoor space that is common with other small restaurant joints in the building. Kunafa is good and delicious, pretty on eyes and smooth and delicate inside the mouth.
We had their authentic cheese Kunafa which is topped with cardamom and pista powder. The sugar solution can be added as per your interest, normally the portion that they serve is well enough.
Do try.

Yesterday I had shawarma from this place , both me & my hus bought it , we order via zomato

Being a shawarma lover I used to get reels suggestions for Arabic dishes and I remember watching a nice Arabic food joint in MG Road Thrisssur and it had 'Turkish' in its title. But only after getting here I realized that this was not the place.
Thought of having a shawarma and barbeque / Al faham but they had only shawarma to serve. Finally settled for 'Ozel Istanbul full meat chicken shawarma', sounds like the name of an Arab ruler 😉. But it didn't taste that good, and the heaviness is only in the name. It was just normal.
To be frank I felt the shawarma of UB grills much better than this.
No proper dine in space and parking will be a little challenging.

Nice ambiance , it's better to sit outside rather than inside , as it's feel like conjusted , the food was good , not the typical kebabs we get outside India but it was good when we compare with kerala restaurants

Quaint place here in Thrissur.
The person taking the order informs us before hand that the kababs and grills here might be 'undercooked' for a Keralite's taste as these are Turkish preparation.
Having tasted good amount of Turkish food at multiple places in and outside India....I wanted to see how much Turkish was the food here as well.
And more over I was in a mood for platters today.
So I went for a customized platter where there were chicken and mutton, and no beef.
The platter comes with chicken tikka, 1 roll of mutton sheek kabab and 1 roll of chicken sheek kabab (in usual order it would be beef).
Btw in Turkish...sheek or sheesh kabab is called Adana kabab. So don't get confused.
And 2 naan breads and splatter of fries. With a mayonnaise dip.
Naan is just the indianized version of lavaash which is served with these Turkish kababs.
Firstly herbs and spices were very much indianized and were a welcome fusion. The tikka was spicy yet enjoyable. Nothing spectacular...did its job.
The other sheekh kababs were both good. And seemed just like any other middle eastern sheekh kababs you get elsewhere. But definitely not the heavily indianized versions you get in BBQ nations.
No complaints. The naans were good...just wished it could have been on the tandoor or tawa little more.
On the quantity..hmm I feel the portions could have been a bit more fulfilling, esp the seekhs could have been lengthier.
I also ordered mutton chops as take away. Which I had asked to be well-done to its maximum possible.
The mutton chops were savoured by my dad and his feedback positive with a footnote - could have been a bit more cooked 😀
The chops came with a naan, fries and a dip. 2 pieces of chops. Both were more bony to dad's liking.
But overall a decent outing with fresh food which was enjoyable.
As I wanted a platter today, I missed running thru their menu properly. Not sure if they have beyti kababs or the Sultan kababs. Will check that out next time.
About the place...avoid sitting inside the restaurant..you have an open area outside shared with 2 other sister concerns in a cul-de-sac.use that area instead.
