We happen to be walking by and the fresh fish in the window caught our attention. Our first waiter was an older man with an unfriendly personality. We pointed out and ordered the Steak Tuna fish, and ended up with a completely different fish. Furthermore he brought us a cheese platter with two pieces of bread. One of the pieces were old, and a bunch of salty olives which we did not ask for. Later when the check arrived they charged 15 euros for the platter that we did not order. By that time our waiter was gone and John took over. John acted surprised that the other waiter did not inform us about the charge and through research and reading reviews we found other people dealing with same issue/situation with the cheese platter charge. The food itself was below average along with the portions. The service was not good. It took 50 min to an hour for our food to come out ( only to realize that it wasn’t we had ordered) The steak that we ordered was hard, barely warm, thin, rubbery and overcooked. This is 100% a tourist trap and the live fish tank display is deceiving. The only positive was the music coming from the bar next door.

This place is the classical tourist scam in which the staff is polite and available only if the restaurant is empty. We came a couple of times before and it went fairly ok. We came back today in the morning and booked a table outside for dinner at 20. The waiter said it was fine and confirmed. He had a colleague write down our booking. We came back for dinner at 20 sharp and were told very rudely that our reservation was not there. As we insisted, we were then told that our reservation was not valid because the restaurant does not take reservations outside. We asked for clarification and were again treated rudely by another person from the staff. Obviously this created a lot of problems for our dinner plans. Never again!

Do not let them bring you bread to the table if you don’t want to pay for around €15 on appetizers. They do not warn you of that in advance so you just think it’s complimentary as many restaurants do.

It’s pricey and not near worth it, I ordered a risotto that I could’ve easily done better myself - and that says a lot. It lacks seasoning. I also noticed some awkwardness from the staff, they kind of hover as a means to always be cleaning but it just gets uncomfortable.

I realized this area is full of restaurants with the same menu and price and it overwhelms you a bit not knowing what to choose.

I really recommend going to Marisco na Praça at a market they have nearby for great seafood at a great price. Plus the service is really good as well.

Terrible service and scam menu. We ordered just oysters and they gave us bread and appetizers but we were forced to pay. $20 for oysters turned out to be $40 for the total

I’m Spanish and we came here with the family and the quality of the fish was really good. Service was excellent, always a happy man being very aware if we need something. Desserts were not the best but food was really good. Good location next to the beach and quick service. I will recommend this place. Very convenient too

Honestly, they never felt too happy to see a single customer. I ended up eating there twice for convenience. The service was … weird both times. They would not help with any recommendations even if I asked, just raising their shoulders. And i think that they could do a better job at keeping their whites clean, it looked a bit weird imho to see them messy.
The oysters were the best I had in Cascais though. Prices are a bit on the spicy side and I am not sure why.
If other seafood places would be full I may go back, otherwise, no, plenty of fish in the sea ☺️

Kids had spaghetti, I had sea bass and squid. All delicious. Service was good as well.

This place deserves a 4! We had a good experience. Good food, no long waiting and good service. Not a 3 star experience but definitely a 4. I’m adding a 5 to increase the average:)
