This is the e mail I sent to the restaurant last week. No reply from them as of today.
I celebrated my 80th birthday this week
My wife decided to take me and my son & daughter I law out for a special dinner.
I selected your restaurant because I have many fond memories of going to your restaurant in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s,
Well, to say we were disappointed is an understatement.
I should mention that we dined on Wednesday July 26. The young lady that served us was very professional. We have no complaints with her at all.
We all ordered the Weiner Schnitzel.
I noticed that the “coating” on the Schnitzel was lifting away from the meat, my wife said that this was because the Schnitzel had been deep fried…rather than cooking in a frying pan as is the accepted way to cook a Schnitzel, I only say this because we have travelled extensively in Europe and that is how the Schnitzels have been cooked,
Secondly….we asked the server if the vegetables were fresh and she honestly told us they were frozen. That should have been a “red alert” but we proceed with our order.
Suffice to say, the vegetables were soft and tasteless.
Thirdly…the potatoes must have also been deep fried. They were so hard it was difficult to even cut them with a knife
We order the Apple struggle for desert and pastry was very soggy. Not the flaky crust that we expected.
Of course my wife paid the bill and gave the server a normal % tip,….but rest assured we will never return to your restaurant and our experience will be shared with many friends.
Now to add insult to injury I just realized that our parking bill for parking right next to your restaurant was over $37. My son and his wife drove in their car so between us we spent $74 to park.
I think a nice gesture on your establishment would be to either reimburse customers for parking or at least advise/warn them of the excessive parking cost at the lot next door.
Our bill at your restaurant was $266.78 and parking was $74.
A very expensive evening for what turned out to be not very enjoyable.

Quiet atmosphere, good selection of authentic German and Czech food. Steak tartare was really good. Reasonably priced, good quantity of food. Czech beer was on the menu as well. Palatschinka dessert crepe with ice cream was nice. Service was excellent.

Small quiet setting with a very large international beer selection.
Can't say enough about my food. Everything was delicious and the beer was plentiful

The major challenge remains the parking. I understand this very little hotel can do about it. But good luck finding parking even though they have a parking lot right opposite to them. They got a few vegetarian options, not a big spread to choose from. No complaints 😃

Travel back in time to a German restaurant, great food, good service. The beef Tartar is a must try.

Authentic central European style dining. Schnitzel and beef tartare are on point!

The staff is friendly and professional. The food is excellent. The beer selection is fantastic. Love the atmosphere and the food is excellent.
