Restaurant Safran

The food was good. I really loved the afghani pulao and the chicken kebabs are to die for….
I had some lamb kebabs but they were only so-so. But, not a huge fan of lamb so that might have made me a little biased. Also, had the Nan Brot, it was only ok. I really liked the afghani chicken though. Very creamy and not too spicy. The pulao rice had great flavour. It is a small restaurant. Loved the cozy ambience. The service was good, provided us with an English menu and explained the dishes when we asked about them. Overall a good place to meet up with friends and family. 😄

Must-eat place in Augsburg! We were a group of five people and ordered different things and shared them. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly!!! I would say much much better than all the other Indian restaurants in Augsburg. They all eventually lose consistency and the spices. But this is a must try place for all, would love to come again.

Excellent food with friendly stuff. The price is a bit expensive but the food are delicious. Its very close to the city center. The seating are limited so better do a reservation.

Must try. One of the best Afgan restaurant I have tried in Germany. My personal favorite for lamb dishes in Augsburg. Really delicious and authentic Afgan food. They take some time to prepare the order but the food is worth the wait. It is a family owned restaurant. The service people are completely friendly, helpful and polite. A nicely decorated sitting place is available downstairs. Overall everything is fantastic.

Tasted good. But honestly its way expensive for the price and for the amount of food.
And they only accept cash no card payment is possible, so we have to go to Sparkasse to pick up money.

We have tried several different Afghani restaurants before, in Berlin, in Frankfurt, none of them is so good as the food I tasted in Safran!
I really enjoyed the lamp soup and the hospitality of the owner.

Excellent place to eat in Augsburg near the city center. I had a leg of lamb braised on a delicious sauce and a super tasty rice with raisins. My wife had also lamb with another sauce which also was super tasty and my friend has a chicken which was cooked to perfection. I also recommend the home made lemonade, refreshing and well done. And the safran juice with pomegranate was also really tasty. The service was very kind and helpful and the place is quite big so you can come also as a bigger group.

A little paradise for a big fan of Afghanistan and afghan cuisine like me.
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner is living up to the high standards of Afghan hospitality!
