I live close to this park. It's inviting, clean, calm and beautiful. Several picnic tables. Tennis, pool, handball, good shade, playing area for most sports. Parking all around the park.
Lighting is super lame. Doesn't turn on till late and is very dim, dark in some areas. Not cool for late evening leisure. Ducks, fish, and raccoons at late night.

Great place for the kids to start sports. But because of budget issues due to the new pandemic. Sorry but our season for soccer has been cut to 4 games and we've had one practice. I've been coming to Harvey Park since I was a teenager. I've brought my kids up through recreation centers and now my grandkids. To Sad to see our recreation center employees and our kids suffer. Shame on you Mayor of Denver and the Governor of Colorado for hurting the ones that live here and pay taxes to watch them go to people that shouldn't be here and benefit off our hard work to keep these places clean and well run. I'm sorry but it has to be said.

Harvey Park has grown so much. There is a lot more there than when I was younger.

Very cute, easy walk. Low traffic type area. If you want a nice place to walk your child with a view of a lake, and also a park for them to play on. This is the spot :)

The playground is nice and often busy. A lot of people walk around the park mostly with dogs.

New concrete paths going in around the lake and the park perimeter. Playground really needs to be replaced, but I still enjoy walking around the lake.

The good: they have a pool, athletic fields, a pond and a small trail to walk. There is also a children's playscape. It is also located in a residential area so it is relatively quiet.

The bad: it's small, the trail is short, and there is bird poop everywhere. Geese love this area so playing on the ground isn't a feasible idea unless you want some added color to your clothes.
