For a local museum, it is definitely worth a visit. They have some real artifacts and great information. I feel it is worth waiting to go on the days where there are live reenactments because the people who do that are great!

Was very disappointed Lived in Monroe for 27years visited the museum many times My husband and I did the Kudzu festival I also did spinning and rug hooking demo with a friend of mine Valarie. The building had two sections opened and had books for sale and items pertaining to the period. Just took my grandsons and was very disappointed. There were no artifacts pertaining to the waxhaw indians only one section was opened the items for sale I can do better at the Dollar Tree. The sign was broken going in and the road was horrible. Was very disappointed

Kaitlin Dobbins has done a phenomenal job of getting this establishment back up and going. She plans the best camps and activities. My Granddaughter had camp.today and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend you all visit the website to see the upcoming events. It is AWESOME.

Cute museum. $10 adult admission. Main building with exhibits, but also had a house from the 1830's you can tour on-site as well. Self-guided. Enjoyed looking around.

Awesome site for local waxhaw history. Beautiful museum and great staff! I was there for the reenactment and couldn’t have been happier!

This warm, peaceful place, has not only ambience but is full of historic treasures snf stories of our region. It's a pleasure to visit, just outside downtown Waxhaw - and surprisingly little attended, though I think may change under its new administrator. Hours are limited, so check ahead.

Attended a group tour and enjoyed it very much! Meagan is very knowledgeable and has a love for sharing the rich history of this area. I will return again when they have demonstrations. Looking forward to their Spring Festival 😁
