Great selection!
I've been to this bookstore several times now, and love the atmosphere. It has a really nice and wide variety of books for its small/cozy size. There are also cute products in the front of the store. I stumbled upon a concert there earlier this year 🎵🎶
The Barnes & Noble store near me had to move to another space recently. I was shocked when I walked in for the first time. Nearly every book cover was facing out, and the covers these days, graphically, are so “loud…”
The store also does not have many of the books it has had in the past, probably because the way they’re now placed on the shelves takes up way more space. I was looking for three books, and they had none of them.
So I went to Newtonville Books, and breathed a sigh of relief when I entered the store. It hasn’t changed, and it’s still cozy and just wonderful. The staff were kind and helpful, as always. And they had all of the books I wanted to buy!!!!
Keep it up, NB. You guys are the best.

It's great to have this local bookstore. I went in seeking a somewhat obscure title and they were able to get it within a few days and called me for the pickup. A good store for gifts too
A cozy spot. If you are like me and want to buy everything, you will enjoy the helpful staff picks (handwritten on index cards).
Love the exterior of this bookstore just as much as the interior. Super historical /gothuc on the outside and soooo cute and cozy on the inside. Massive selection!! Places to sit too. They also sell gift items and other trinkets. Bonus they are open late!!
We love exploring the area for independent bookstores & Newtonville Books is a gem! I especially appreciate the great staff picks! We’ll be back again soon!
