MEX Rent A Car

Horrible experience, issue #1 I made a booking online and when I arrived to the airport they informed me that there’s no availability despite my booking and I had to wait for 3 hours to get a car

Issue#2 I rented a car and 1 min after driving it a police officer stopped me asking for money to let me pass. It was obvious that it it was organized by the car rental agency as they informed me that “incase a police officer stop you which is high probable call us and we will help bla bla bla” which happened exactly but they didn’t answer my calls. Overall horrible experience of driving/renting car.

Probably one of the most transparent and easy rental car service in Mexico by far. My recommendation is if you book online through any travel website booking, kayak, etc choose this company but only select the daily rental rate don’t take the insurance. The insurance is way cheaper when you get it directly with them. Pro Tip.

Will charge you the price of a full day if you arrive two hours late with the car. The company didn’t inform us of this on returning the car, but immediately took it out of my account. Wouldn’t recommend this company.

Terrible!! Worst experience ever! Made a reservation months ahead, but they refused to give me a car. After taking pictures of my passport and have me wait for 15+ min they claimed they had no cars available! I could see they had a number of cars ready, but I guess they figured my reservation was cheaper than what they hoped to rent over the counter! After arguing for a quite a while, I had to go to a neighbor rental agency, since they wouldn’t let me have a car.

After booking through Holiday Autos which seem to be an aggregator for rental cars worldwide I unfortunately chose a car from Mex. Upon arrival they lied not to have my booked car available and to come next day when price will be higher?! Most likely as the price online through holiday autos was at better rate they selectively decide if to value the contract through a reseller. Just be alert of their scammy practices!

Terrible !
I've rented in this company before without this troubles. Made reservation two months ago and guy at counter tells me my reservation got canceled 5 minutes before my arrival.
Gave me a car double in price telling me that by busses policy i had to get all insurances they offer. I will have to dispute this scam with my credit card.

Worst service ever

It takes them about 2 hours to give you your car and about 2 hours to return it. If they are busy they don’t even acknowledge you. They have no sense of urgency. returning the car there is no one the place is not busy and they still take about 2 hours. If you have a returning flight make sure to give yourself 3 hours
