Retro Mexican Cuisine

Beautiful setting at this restaurant, kinda tucked in the woods by a pond. Manager or owner greeted us and accommodated our huge group. Waitress was a bit overwhelmed, forgot a few drinks but wasn't bad. The salsa was fantastic. I ordered the enchiladas aztecas and really liked them. Well seasoned and the chipotle sauce added a rich smokey flavor. Highly recommended. If we lived here this would be our place for Mexican food. They also had great lunch specials and a decent beer selection.

Food was very good and the staff was friendly. Menu was a good mix of typical options and things with their own flair. I had the steak and enchiladas, it was quite good.

Good seating both indoor and outdoor. With a nice view of the park.

Here on vacation and decided to have dinner with my best friend. The food was great and rivals the Mexican food around my home in Florida. As a matter of fact, it was better than most. Not only was the food great but we were privileged to get Stella as our server. She was spectacular in every way. One of the most pleasant young ladies I have ever had serve us. Please ask for her if you go in for a visit. You won't be dissappinted.

Fajitas Poblanas are excellent! Rice and beans are fresh and flavorful. Guacamole is good and salsa has a nice smoky flavor. Efficient, friendly service. Nice outdoor patio dining area.

This Mexican restaurant stands out as it offers items on its menu with a little pizzazz. You can find the everyday items if you need them, but if you like to try new and exciting, this is your place. Our waitress was friendly and attentive!

My friend recommended me this restaurant and we decided to come in today. Service and food was great! Only problem was that the server was kind of rude because he forgot my jalapeños on my chicken. Seemed like it was my fault or something. Also he didn’t ask my friend what kind of tortillas she wanted that CAME with her meal. She wanted corn not flour. Well he charged us for the corn tortillas she wanted. I also ordered off the kids menu for my 5 year old that states a fountain drink and one side was included. We were charged for her side which was French fries.

The food was ok, but surprisingly lacked flavor. These were unique dishes that were ordered expecting extra flavor, but disappointed (Piñata Salad & Fajitas Poblanos). I'm sure the more traditional items would be fine.

We drive about 3 hours total there and back just to eat at Retro. The food alone makes the trip worth it. However, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and prompt. If you like dessert the fried icecream is hands down the BEST ive tried (which I order anytime there is opportunity) I am a huge foodie that loves to try different places and dont mind to travel a slight distance. I will say this is one of my absolute favorites.
