My daughter and I were absolutely delighted to spend the day walking, talking, taking the subway and feasting on spectacular Glasgow cuisine. We adored the Haddock soup, smoked salmon, venison haggis (what? You've never eaten SAUSAGE?) with tatties, home made Italian ice cream, classic Scottish sweets from a continuously family owned 120 year old shop (make sure you schedule in extra time to chat with the delightful mother and daughter owners!) and a fabulous variety (mild to sharp) presented by an adorbs cheese monger. Maddy was a knowledgeable and warm guide. It was really the perfect first day in this vibrant and down to earth city. The food, guidance and walkabout were, without a doubt, worth every Pound. Do not miss this.

Maddy hosted us on the Wee Food Tour of Glasgow in part to sample the local food culture and in part to see areas of Glasgow we would otherwise not see. We achieved both objectives! We visited five food venues ranging from serving up exquisite Scottish salmon, Cullen Skink (delicious), haggis, amazing local cheeses, fabulous local ice cream, Tablet and sweeties in a wonderful family owned Sweetie shop, and even a deep fried Mars Bar and deep fried pizza (who knew?), which I had never sampled! The trip to see the Govan Stones (inedible!) was also a highlight. Maddy is an excellent host - knowledgable, kind, interesting and very informative. I can't rate Maddy and her tour highly enough. If you are visiting Glasgow, take this tour to open your eyes to the wonderful food culture that Glasgow has to offer, and to be escorted by Maddy was a real privilege.

Wee Food Tour was a wonderful experience!! Our guide, Maddy, was full of information about food, culture, politics -- life in Glasgow in general! She took us on a brilliant walking tour to small independent eateries that we never would have discovered. The experience was intimate, informed and informative (who knew that "tatties" are potatoes and "neeps" are turnips?) Haggis at The Ubiquitous Chip made of venison, seasoned wonderfully, were truly divine! Highly encourage you to book with this fantastic lady!

We had an excellent food tour with Maddy today! The tour was filled with tasty food, history, and great conversation from a guide who is clearly passionate about Glasgow. It felt less like a tourist activity and more like we were traveling around the city with a friend who knows all the best locally owned spots to stop at. Highly recommend this tour if you have a few hours in Glasgow!

We thoroughly enjoyed this food tour in Glasgow with our delightful guide, Maddy. Not only did we sample several iconic Scottish dishes while visiting spots that we never would have found on our own, we learned so much from Maddy about the history of the city. She is truly enthusiastic about Glasgow and its food and people.
We highly recommend this tour if you’d like to experience the food and sights of Glasgow with a wonderful guide.

We went on the Wee Food Tour in September with Madeline. We love doing food tours when we visit different cities and countries so we can get to try some of the places we would never think to visit and the Wee Food Tour definitely did not disappoint!! You could definitely sense her passion for food and the city coming through. There wasn't a place that we visited that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. The conversation along the way was most enjoyable as well. Strongly recommend this tour if you have a few hours to fit it in :-)

Maddie was an amazing tour guide, and this was an amazingly delicious selection of restaurants! People joked that all Glasgow would have is fried food - and we did get that at the end, but the other stops were so delicious and well chosen. We got to see a few different parts of the city as we travelled to these gem eateries, via subway and taxi, with great history and local knowledge added along the way. Still have a few candies left from Glickman’s! The correspondence afterward too - recipe for the delicious stew at the start of the tour, and a listing of all the places visited - Was a really nice touch to remind us of where we’d been. Wish I had taken more photos of the food! And Maddie herself was lovely. Highly recommend this tour!!
