I just wanted to thank Hampshire House for the absolutely perfect event Sunday. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Special thanks to Alyssa, who managed the event flawlessly, anticipating all of our requests and meeting them promptly. Wanjira did an outstanding job as bartender and also pitched in on a variety of other tasks including temporarily volunteering as videographer and photographer. The food was delicious and artfully presented, thanks to Rodrigo, Elayana, Alejandra, and the culinary team. And Gail, the receptionist on the front desk in the morning, was lovely and made sure everyone got to where they needed to be.
Michele, the Hampshire House event planner, was the linchpin that held everything together. When we were evaluating venues, she was so friendly and helpful I had a good feeling that even someone with no event planning experience (me!) would be in good hands with her. That was true. From redoing the floor plan, as our numbers kept shifting, to the recommendations and guidance on the vendors, she handled everything flawlessly, and all within our budget. Thanks for recommending the blueberry pancake appetizer. Everyone loved them! Special kudos to her for anticipating the road race that shut the streets down. Michele providing us with instructions to deal with that and updated them as she learned more. We were staying at a very nice hotel nearby and they were not aware of the road race, and once they became aware of it, they were scrambling to figure out how to help their customers. It was a problem. But not at the Hampshire House. It's that kind of attention to detail that sets them apart. I really appreciate it.
Hampshire House, thank goodness, has an approved list of vendors. We went with Winston Flowers (Tara) and Robert on the grand piano, and they both executed perfectly as well. After all the hustle and bustle of the early morning (during which all went well, thanks to Tara, Alyssa, Wanjira, and the HH team), I was waiting, heart in my throat, for the guest of honor to arrive. She arrived and walked up the spiral staircase, her eyes alight, and into the cheering throng of friends and family. There were hugs all around and then she walked into the main room, absolutely delighted with the absolute perfection of it all. Right on cue, Robert, on the grand piano, started playing "Here Comes The Sun." It's a moment that will stay with us forever.
The food was just so delicious! We were thrilled to finally try chef Markus Ripperger's world famous Maple Roasted Almond and Swiss Chocolate Soup. And thanks for the special plate that accommodated my dietary restriction. We left with bags of treats and goodies, from the lobster rolls on brioche buns to the astounding array of cakes and cookies. We had a pajama party later and enjoyed the leftovers there, all of us going over every detail of a most wonderful day that is now a perfect memory for us. The video that Wanjira took (she saw me taking pictures and offered to take over for a bit, urging me to sit down and enjoy everything) captured the lovely energy of the event perfectly.
If you are thinking of hosting an event in Boston, large or small, I can wholeheartedly recommend Michele and the Hampshire House team!

We had the most magical day of our lives getting married at the Hampshire House in early May this year. Right from the get go, Hampshire House checked all our boxes when it came to what we were looking for in a wedding venue. It has that old New England charm, is located right next to the beautiful Public Gardens and is the perfect size for an intimate, small to medium sized wedding (we had 60-70 guests in attendance). Most of all, the food here is beyond exceptional and some of the best we’ve had. We are major foodies, and having food that was well-plated, generously portioned, and above all delicious and memorable was a high priority item for us.
We were lucky enough to be able to work with Sydney Turnbull and the Hampshire house team. Sydney is the most kind, professional, and detail-oriented catering sales manager and event coordinator and thanks to her, all our venue planning with Hampshire House was truly smooth sailing and stress-free. Sydney constantly kept us in the loop with next steps in our planning timeline, offering thoughtful recommendations and suggestions for our wedding (such as floral placements during our ceremony, order and timing of toasts/speeches, seating arrangements, the list goes on!)
She kept in contact with all our vendors, always promptly responded to our many emails, walked us through all the steps during our ceremony rehearsal —somehow making it seem much less daunting, and on our big day Sydney seemed to always be one step ahead, preparing and leading us through every portion of our wedding timeline in such a seamless way.
Lastly, since our wedding ended late into the evening, Hampshire House thoughtfully held on to and organized all our florals, and various wedding signage and other items so that we were able to return and pick it up at the venue on a following day. This made it so we didn’t have to worry about anything at all night of and could end our wedding day with the peace of mind that everything was taken care of.
Truly, we cannot recommend Sydney and the Hampshire House enough and if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing!

Not much room to sit. Last time, their upstairs bar was open, not this time. Cool to experience but servers don't make it feel that way, more "annoyed". Fun souvenir shop.

From beginning to end, Hampshire House and Lindsay were so easy to work with. At the start of our wedding planning adventure, there was so much stress around all of the little bits and pieces we would need to get this event together. As soon as we reached out to Hampshire House - oh, it was great. They take care of it all and the quality is exceptional.
Hampshire House delivered on food. They delivered on ambience. They delivered on professionalism and service. They delivered on drinks. Our guests have described our wedding as magical, unique, cozy, beautiful, warm, well organized. All things we wanted and looked for in a venue. We are so happy with our decision to work with the team at Hampshire House. Thank you Lindsay and team for having things run so smoothly.
Hampshire House is the venue to book if you’re looking to deliver a beautiful and memorable Boston wedding. We had a winter wedding and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Photos by Silver and Salt Photography.

We recently celebrated our small wedding at the Hampshire House and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish, the entire experience was outstanding, thanks to the exceptional professionals at Hampshire House and our incredible event coordinator, Sydney.
The staff’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensured that our wedding day was nothing short of magical. We were particularly impressed with how seamlessly the operations were executed - big thank you Karim!! From coordinating vendors to managing the flow of the event, everything was executed with precision. The catering was excellent, with delicious food and impeccable service provided by the staff. Our guests were not only impressed by the beautiful venue but also by the level of service they received throughout the evening.
Sydney is a true gem and has been an absolute pleasure to work with! From our initial visit to the wedding day, Sydney exhibited a level of professionalism, expertise, and effectiveness that made the entire process smooth and stress free. Sydney - you saved us many countless hours of planning!!! Your willingness to go above and beyond, even recommending last minute makeup artists, truly made a difference in bringing our vision to life!
The Hampshire House, with its historic charm, elegant ambiance, and a beautiful grand piano, provided the ideal setting for our celebration. The venue’s two levels offered wonderful sunset views over the Public Garden and a seamless transition between cocktail hour and reception. The investment in Hampshire House and its exceptional team, with their top-notch service and delightful cuisine, is undeniably worthwhile for any event. We were so glad we got to celebrate our wedding here and we would choose the Hampshire House again in a heartbeat! Photos are by the talented Nicole Chan!

Hampshire House was a dream!! All our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. The location is also amazing- we did our photos in the public garden, on comm ave, and around beacon hill which all turned out beautifully! On its own, Hampshire house is an amazing venue, but what really made it incredible was Sydney (venue coordinator). Sydney was so incredibly helpful from the very beginning all the way up to the day of. Sydney was with us for every part of the planning process and truly made our vision come alive. She patiently answered all my millions of questions and never made me feel dumb for asking. She quelled all my anxieties and truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect!! Another thing we loved about HH and Sydney was that there were 0 hidden costs. They were very up front about the pricing and cost breakdowns which we did not find at a lot of other venues we looked at. If you go with Hampshire House and work with Sydney know that you are in amazing hands and will be so well taken care of. They didn’t miss a single detail!! 10/10 could not recommend Hampshire house enough!!

If you are looking for a classic historic mansion in Boston to host a wedding this is the place. We had our wedding reception here and everything was perfect, from the food to the decor. We worked with Sydney and she was the best in responding to all of my questions. She was very polite and made sure the day ran smoothly. Our wedding was beautiful, more than 75% of our guest were visiting from out of town and really enjoyed Hampshire House. We keep hearing from our friends and family how delicious the food was and they were so full at the end of the night they barely had room for wedding cake. Sydney and her staff are very professional and made sure everyones allergies were addressed, everyone was very pleased with the service. The night flowed so smoothly, I could not have asked for anything better.
