Not your average “grab a dozen for the family” kind of donut shop. Unless you’re the Bezos family.
If you want to pay for “a cute, cozy atmosphere,” this is your place. It is nice and host is very friendly.
But I am sorry, the donuts aren’t worth the price. Guess I’m just a different breed of a donut connoisseur.

My family and I wandered in here when killing time in Coronado before flying home. The owner was so inviting and kind, more than expected for some random customers! I got the cinnamon roll donut (my go-to everywhere) and this was hands down the best I’ve had. My girls got strawberry and chocolate glazed. They were the pillowiest donuts ever. Absolutely would recommend and come here again!

West Coasts Best Donuts served up by the delightful Marilyn. Free coffee with the purchase of a donut. Donuts are $4. Bag of donuts for $5. Keep up the greatness!

This place is super cute. I was famished and stopped in for a mid-day snack.. The owner was so friendly and the donuts are absolutely excellent. Highly recommend going in to see the space - ton of flavor varieties too!

These donuts are fresh and delicious! Located in what felt like a secret alleyway with other restaurants and small shops, it’s worth a pitstop if you’re in Coronado. The owners are super friendly and the shop is quirky and fun. Try their Apple Fritter and their Old Fashioned, some of the best I’ve ever had!

My Birthday Month is treating me sweet so far! While waiting for an Appointment, I walked into DONUT BEACH where I was met by Miss Marilyn who was more than kind to me. She briefly explained the history of the store and it’s owner and said “Thank you for your service. I love you energy. Pick a donut of your choice.” I asked her for a recommendation and ending up grabbing The Old Fashion Donut because it was popular and would compliment a cold glass of milk. Before leaving I told her I would write a positive review online.

So these are actually really..really good donuts!
I was just walking by this morning and a lady noticed i was kinda looking around, maybe for a coffee, and she suggested I look in the courtyard and try a donut. Sure, why not.
Much to my surprise there was a tiny little courtyard with a really interesting donut shop....that doesn't look a thing like a donut shop. The long and short of it was that i got a chocolate glazed donut with sprinkles and a cup 'a jo. Sat in the courtyard in the sun and enjoyed a really fantastic donut.
So what makes a good donut? It was light, but a had a certain weight to it. But not "heavy". It was definitely not "crusty". Very fresh and slightly moist, but again, not heavy. They advertise "California's best donut".. I dont know if it is, but it for sure is right up there at the top.
