The restaurant is a throwback in time with the marbled tables, wooden chairs, and vintage tiles. I got a few of their signatures like the marble cake, kaya toast, pork chop, soft-boiled eggs, and coffee. Overall, the flavour and cook of the dishes were decent. I particularly liked the kaya toast, as it was thick, fluffy, and oh so crispy. Lathered with that rich house made kaya and dunked in coffee/eggs... perfect. The butter cake was serviceable, though it could be more moist and could use more butter. The pork chop was kept traditional and not overly tenderized but instead still had a bite. The meat itself was slightly marinated, but most of the flavour came from the savoury brown sauce. The batter was soggy as expected. The dish also came with the typical frozen veg mix and some thick-cut chips. Knowing the food here is meant to be kept traditional, it didn't bug me that the fries weren't crispy. The coffee was great.

To conclude, I think the restaurant makes for a great spot if you're looking for classic hainanese cuisine with a good ambience. That said, I think one should manage expectations when coming here, as after all, hainanese cuisine is meant to be simple and comforting. So don't expect out of the world eggs and toast or the juiciest hainanese pork chop.

There was a short wait on a weekday, and the food was served quickly. The Hainanese pork chop was just okay. I found it better than the roast pork, as the roast pork’s skin was too hard. Despite the great reviews, I found the food to be just average.

Yut Kee is well-known for its delicious pork chop at this western restaurant. The portion size is decent, but if you're feeling extra hungry, you can always choose two items from the menu. Fun fact - not everyone is aware that they also offer marble cake and kaya roll in whole, half, or even by the slice!

My first visit here and this place is always busy with so many people. Just get a queue and seating is very fast. Tried their pork chop which came really. Deliciously succulent and tasty and flavored with a delicious thick sauce. Just add on the L&P sauce from the bottle for extra flavor. Eating here is like visiting an old style mansion and the place gives out good vibes. Even though I had to share a table with other guests, it was still a very nice experience. Their roasted pork is only available on Fri, Sat and Sunday from 9.30am onwards so come early. I will try that the next time round.

The q are long as usual (meaning food is good). We waited for a while in q. Service is fast and top notch. We ordered Roti Babi, belacan fried rice, pork chop, french toast, Cham Si Peng. We enjoyed the food. Recommended. Do come and eat if you are around the corner. The bald guy over the counter is super friendly as well. 😆

Best cheap and quick meal. Fried rice was amazing. We spent 50 RM in two people.
Beef noodle soup might not be the best for everyone as there are intestines inside.
Kaya roll cake and Kaya toast was tasty.

My cousin greatly recommended this historic restaurant located near Chinatown KL and there was a wait with numerous chairs for visitors. Queue numbers will be given and the wait was not too long.
Anticipated something delicious and nice after a 15 minutes wait but boy.. was I disappointed with the prices and food quality!
The hainanese chicken chop was so so and so is the roasted pork roll. Hor fun was average and the toast come with butter and kaya spread separated and need to DIY.
Totally cannot understand what's the hype and queue for such an average restaurant with so many mainly tourist waiting and dining. I believe the locals here will not come and me myself whose not stingy with my reviews is disappointed overall.
Anyway this is my 2 cents worth of opinion and everyone else is entitled to theirs. Check it out and taste to judge.
