This is a beautiful piece of federally reserved land made into a public park; it has many dirt, wooden plank and concrete paths. There are wetlands and dry land, two large ponds- one of which the park is named after, and yes there is a Blue Heron that lives there among ducks, geese, frogs, small birds, crows, rabbits, skunks, deer, etc. Be careful walking through from dusk til dawn because of mosquitoes and ticks. Most areas of the woods are considered dead zones for cell service.

Quiet and green. Picnic tables for lunch and several trails through the woods. Bring bug spray!
