is developing dense commercial centers in urban areas illegal now? i thought this area was a suburb. i understand the owner wants it for JHU and not residential usage, thats fine...but why would a $10 billion dollar science center exist here? what kind of traffic is about to be coming here now? i like how bethesda is able to maintain its commercial zoning along 355,270 and a couple E/W roads like democracy blvd. yet when u get norther to the suburbs its completely okay to just build dense commercial campuses all over. we need to build denser closer to DC, not the other way around.

Could have been an awesome wildflower meadow instead of a high maintenance lawn for the past few decades!!! Can still be one to help the environment and attract pollinators…go easy John Hopkins!
