John was very welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable about the various spices he offers in his shop. He demonstrated for us all the parts of the nutmeg as well as cocoa, and all their medicinal uses. We came away laden with nice gifts for both our friends and ourselves.

We had such an adventure to get to this shop. We hired a driver to show us the island - up and up the mountain on one way roads (wait how do they get 2 cars on the same roady) and cliff hanging curves. We bought our gifts for friends to take back - spices and these wonderful smelling fruit and vanilla extracts. We went in November 2022 and the shop just re-opened.
