My daughter's birthday and the girl at the gate wouldn't let us in... I told her we live on the border line of Weymouth and Braintree... noone was in the splash park and she said no..not her fault it's her job but come this is insane! I was just my daughter who turned 9 and myself.

I can’t think of any other splash pad that is residents only! Can you imagine not letting children keep cool in the summer playing in a splash pad because their parents don’t live in that town!? Absolutely bonkers to me! They could be charging a small entry fee like two dollars or something for out-of-town residents, But come on who are you really punishing when you make a splash pad “residence only”. Very snobby mindset of the city to do this. This seriously needs to change. I hope residence will come together and advocate to change this.
What’s the REAL reason it’s residents only. I’d love to know

Resident only after years of open to the public. Sucks when you live in the landing less than a quarter mile away. Womp womp.

Excellent park and splash pad for kids and adults

You have to be a Braintree resident to enter. My children enjoyed themselves. I got to meet a few friendly parents. There is also a park, and field adjacent to it. Great place for a picnic as well.

The Splash Pods have a visually appealing design and seem to offer an enjoyable playground experience. The vibrant colors and interactive features make them quite enticing. However, it's worth mentioning that the exclusive access for residents is a downside. It can be seen as unfortunate and exclusionary for other children who are unable to enter the playground and enjoy the Splash Pods. Opening up access to all kids would be a fairer and more inclusive approach, ensuring that everyone can partake in the fun.

Great free fun for kids. Bring some chairs if you want to grab a spot in the shade. There are benches, but all in direct sun. Splash park is fenced in and has a small staff seated outside mainly to enforce the no drinks or bags policy. It is huge compared to other splash parks in the area. Playground is a good size and seems to have plenty to keep the kids entertained once they need to dry off. Expect to find an ice cream truck in attendance. All in all a very good time.
