By the time we visited this temple it was raining heavily and there was not much of a rush. We can hire an auto for 100/- per person to visit all nearby places

Good place to visit for everyone...
The place has its own history & culture of it... 👍

Born and brought up in Nashik, but this place is frozen in time. The river needs a bit of cleaning, but that certainly does not take away the spirituality of the place. Went to see the ganga arti that starts at 7pm. Very crowded and a bit chaotic. But once the arti starts, things fall in place. Couple of artis going on concurrently.
A bit hard to find an uber or rickshaw out of there, so be patient.

I attended Ganga Aarti here.feeling so pride to being a Nasikkar. Our Government granted some amount for this Ganga Aarti.really feels like Varanasi.

Ramkund in Panchavati, Nashik, is a sacred site along the Godavari River. This historic spot is where pilgrims take holy dips and perform rituals. The peaceful atmosphere and spiritual significance make it a must-visit for devotees and tourists.

Jun 2024.
Ramkund is located along the bank of Godavari River. This place is situated at a distance of 2 km from Central Bus stand.
This is the holiest spot in Nashik as it is believed to be the place where Lord Rama used to bathe. It contains the bone dissolving Asthivilaya Tirth. It was built by Chitrarao Khatav, a landholder of Khatav in Satara in 1696havrao and was repaired by Gopikabai, the mother of Madhavrao the fourth Peshva. Peoples bring ashes of their deceased relatives and immerse it in Asthivilay kund. Ashes of big personalities like Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Y B Chavan and others had been immersed at Ramkund
I visited this place around 6:30pm for Goda_aarti, it was a wonderful beautiful experience ❤️. Feels so blessed to witness some holy place like this. Even you get opportunity to perform the rituals. Dot 7pm, aarti starts. This is held everyday, every week, every month, 365 days.
If you want to experience this please visiting ramkund around 6:30/6:40pm to witness and experience this.

Legends says that Ram lived in Nashik during his 14-years exile. Ramkund is believed to mark the spot where Ram and his wife Sita bathed

A beautiful place in Nasik, worth a visit, but extremely crowded. People around are extremely nice and welcoming. Though it's a place of religious significance, people have not maintained hygiene. The river water is polluted by people washing clothes and bathing in it and there is plastic waste lying around and even floating on water. I won't recommend food, but definitely buying fruits and shopping in street markets by the bank is extremely cheap. Also do check out this pretty bird.
