Just a picnic place to see "PUCUK" of borobudur, not for sunrise

Beautiful view from the hill on Borobudur and the surrounding hills. Around 10min walk from the main temple. In evening hours it's pretty empty up there.

nice little hike up the hill and view of the borobudur. There was a restaurant and cottage some cottage but we saw nobody

Yeah, it was nice, tranquil, quiet.
Had a good view.

We walked up the very slippery and "leafy" path from the temple side only to find a "No Entry" sign near the top. Don't know why? Also many mosquitoes bite you on the walk up...🦟🦟🦟

You get a birds eye view of Borobudur Temple and surrounding Hills. Food here is delectable.

Elephant Hill. Highly recommended. There is a trail behind the Manohara restaurant, and it is a short walk up the hillside on well-maintained steps. Very peaceful. I had the whole place to myself on a very busy day when the temple was packed with visiting students. Enjoyed some quiet time in contemplation with great views of the main stupa.
