Had the oshiruko (red bean soup) and oden with coffee. Coffee was surprisingly good, and the oshiruko was not too sweet. Oden was great for the westher at that time.

Excellent succulent rice balls. Their dessert bowl is not sweet, really suits my likings. Authentic.

Very quaint little cafe run by women. Affordable and tasty treats served in stylish sets. A peaceful break from the heat and crowds of Tokyo.

I had an early dinner here as I wasn’t very hungry. The oden and yukari rice set was tasty and light. I also tried their Nishiyama special dessert set which was delicious as well. Both sets came with a cup of tea. I recommend coming here for tea time as it’s a relaxing environment that’s calming and peaceful after a long day of walking.

Even I don’t have the sweet tooth, its handmade mochi mixed with ice cream, seasonal fruits and sweetened beans still entice me to pay a visit. The whole bowl is an authentic culinary delights as each ingredient is freshly made and all of them strike a perfect balance when mixing with each other. The customers can control the sweetness as the honey is served separately. Definitely worthy for another visit in near future.

Walked in this randomly after walking in the cold, wanted to get a cup of hot tea and matcha ice cream. From the moment I walked in, the host was super uber friendly and nice and hospitable!!! Very patience when we order my snack. I don’t have pictures because I have already finished my tea and dessert, but this shop deserves all the stars :D!! Please come here if you are ever around, sitting here makes you super relaxed, satisfied and zen… ☺️

Found this little gem on the last day of my stay in japan and couldn’t be happier. The owners are so friendly and the place is quiet with just one other table of customers (but interior is must bigger) and well-kept despite being on the Main Street in asakusa. We talked to the owner, who informed us that the shop opened in 1852 and he’s the sixth owner of the store. Wish we found this place sooner but nevertheless glad to have come. The desserts here are reasonably priced and a highlight, if not the best I’ve had in my trip! Will definitely visit again; this shop deserves so much more!
