It was a pretty simple 3 kms trail on a flat terrain. Would recommend it for kids, elderly and all other folks.

From the Zoo Road going straight you'll end up getting to this pinned location, just in the middle of the road. But, you'll find on your left side, Cedar Trail (lucky to see a beaver casually swimming with the geese recorded below); right side - Orchard Trail which connects to the Vista Trail and straight ahead a railroad. There are still so many areas to uncover. Go! Just explore, enjoy the sighting and be one with nature.

Another great trail of the Rouge Valley area. Couple of uphills and stream makes it quite a good hike.
Recent upgrades to the stairs and addition of a pond landscape also is a good effort from Parks Canada.
A short hike across the railway crossing to the lookout point and summit is a very good addition to the trail system in the area.

Cedar Trail is a scenic hiking trail located in Rouge National Urban Park. This trail offers nature enthusiasts and hikers a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty of the park's diverse ecosystems. As you traverse Cedar Trail, you'll be surrounded by lush cedar forests, picturesque meadows, and tranquil streams. The trail provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowing visitors to connect with nature and enjoy the park's natural wonders.

Trail is about 2 km. If you're starting from toronto zoo road, it starts a bit boring, a pond followed by a narrow trail and scenery is the same but then trail goes to a wooded area and goes through a few wooden stairs. Great foliage colors in autumn. Saw birds, squirrels and geese. Trail ends at resor road and you'll take the same trail back to the parking lot

Variety of trails top choose from, not stroller friendly but so beautiful. Spaced out so u can maintain distance easily, there are goods trains that passed by every few hours.

So beautiful trail around the lake<3
