This is a spacious, well-shaded neighborhood park. They have a toddler jungle gym and a much larger series of climbers-slides suitable for kids up to 10 years old. Lots of happy kids playing on the weekend.
Cons- There is a FILTHY port a potty (worse than most) adjacent to the tennis courts
Also much of the abandoned toys at the playground are broken and should be recycled/discarded.

A special park with a full canopy providing shade for all. Great for little kids.

Very pretty spot for a fall playground visit. Toys! People have created a collection of construction toys, sand toys, cars, etc. It's awesome. Mix of old and new equipment. Feels like a closer to nature playground. Bigger kid side is sand, but not annoying for some reason, maybe all the leaves help. Little kid side is rubber pad. Nice tennis courts. No bathrooms and don't try Oxendale's, but there's a gas station a few blocks away.

Great neighborhood park. This is the first Park I have ever been to where there are Tonka trucks and dump trucks and other toys that have been donated or left by people who probably live in the neighborhood. We went to the park after eating ice cream at Nelson’s ice cream shop on Snelling Avenue. We had a very nice time with our kids and our grandson.

Stopped by this park on the way back home with Roxy. Cute park with a playground, tennis court, plenty of picnic tables, benches and shade. Just a cute little park.

Great, quiet park in St. Paul offers plenty of green space in the middle of the city, and is very peaceful. Playground, ball field, tennis court; Fitness in the Parks is great here! Wednesday nights at 6pm is a great class!

Update: it seems someone took it upon themselves to remove all of the toys that kids played with. So thanks for taking the charm of this place away.
Old review: This park is known to my kids as the "truck park," because there are a lot of old toys that have been "donated" for general use. (Keep careful track of any toys you bring if you don't want them to join the collection.) The main playground has sand; the smaller one is padded and showing its age. Lots of shade from all the trees.
